Thanks djflippy Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2009 4,441 0 36 #8 djflippy, May 27, 2012 Glioblastoma Capitalism-Multiforme Glioblastoma Capitalism-Multiforme, commonly referred to as "The Plague", "The Blight", or simply "Capitalism" is generally considered to be an economic plague that is based on private ownership of the means of production and the creation of goods or services for profit or income by individuals or corporations. Some have also used the term as a synonym for competitive markets, voluntary exchange, wage labor, capital accumulation, or personal finance.[1][2][3] Capitalism is variously defined by sources and there is no general consensus among scholars on the definition nor which economies can historically be properly considered capitalist.[4] The designation is applied to a variety of historical cases, varying in time, geography, politics, and culture.[5] There is, however, general agreement that capitalism became dominant in the Western world following the demise of feudalism, a time when plague could run rampant across the land.[6] The Capitalist Plague gradually spread throughout the Western world in the 19th and 20th centuries.[7][8] In our modern world, some scientists estimate that nearly 99% of the population that reside in the afflicted territories show symptoms of the disease, but these cases are still treatable.[9] The severity of the aforementioned cases, however, are dwarfed by the other 1%. This 1%, for all intents and purposes, are dead already. They walk the earth in zombie-like stupor, feeding on the blood and sweat of of those around them. While the physical impact on the carriers is non-obvious, the mental suffering is acute and irreversable. While they may seem like mindless drones to the untrained eye, they know exactly what they are doing; they simply have lost the ability to care.[10] Direct contact with these hyper-afflicted individuals has caused a slow but deadly process that threatens to cripple entire municipalities, large cities, and even whole countries. The United States has been the hardest hit to date; a small but affluent New York neighborhood is believed to be the epicenter of this cruel and debilitating virus. Analysts agree that the disease laid dormant there for decades, but opinions differ on how the noxious plague spread.[11] Sources close to the denizens of the site repeatedly refer to the spread of the disease as "trading", presumably with those yet to be contaminated, but other theories abound, up to and including the transferral of sickening parasites commonly referred to as "IAPs", through a hideous and ungodly process known only as "Monetization."[12] While small safe havens for those yet to be afflicted do exist, they occupy isolated areas in larger cities and can often be difficult to pinpoint. The Center for Disease Control has issued a statement saying, "Under no conditions should you accept one of these 'IAPs' from anyone, otherwise you could be at risk of perpetuating the deadly virus."[13] There is still hope, however, embodied by small, but developing forum communities that could in fact be the antidote to the plague. Help from neighboring residents is paramount; send food, medical supplies, clothes, anything you can spare to help their cause, lest you become part of the 1%. sawyer4325 Well-Known Member May 20, 2011 577 0 0 #9 sawyer4325, May 27, 2012 hahahahahaha Ndemic Creations Well-Known Member May 25, 2012 222 8 18 http://www.ndemiccreations.com #10 Ndemic Creations, May 27, 2012 Lol, great one djflippy. Suddenly, the young pup heard a very high frequency sound coming from the direction beyond the modest gate that kept him from escaping into the spacious upscale New Jersey suburbs. Nigel's small ears pricked up, he immediately became alert and became dead set on finding the source of that droning high pitched sound that only dogs can hear. The tiny fawn colored pug, furiously dug at the bottom of the big looming gate with amazing strength for a youngster. Nigel with much determination, kept digging under the brown prison for awhile until FREEDOM AT LAST!! Nigel raced towards the source of the screeching high pitched mysterious sound and stopped a few inches short of it. The adorable curious pug raised his head upwards as if to look at a person, and started to wag his tail. Nigel began sniffing the appendage that placed itself close to his tiny nose and slowly licked the discolored form of a hand. The whining sound grew fainter as a bright gold colored liquid began seeping out of the ground a foot away from where Nigel stood. Nigel sniffed more at the stranger who seemed friendly, oddly colored particles landed on Nigel's nose and all over his fur. The diminutive pug's brown eyes were changing color...Nigel the dog had no idea that in less than 2 weeks, a third of the world population would be in danger of dying because they were about to become infected with an insidious Plague... The effects of Nigel's Plague: Nigel's owners The Kelly family including the parents, their 4 children, the parent's siblings and the kids grandparents all came into contact with the baby pug Nigel. Mr. Brian Kelly was an airline pilot, his wife a nurse in the largest hospital in the area. The Kelly family all came down with initial inexplicable symptoms including changed eye color. Nigel suddenly had sky blue Paul Newman eyes, Lauren Kelly the mother who originally had bright blue eyes, now had the darkest brown eyes. The entire family developed small gold colored clusters of bumps over their entire body. Most of the bumps were concentrated on their lips, nose and lower extremeties. The entire Kelly family also within 1 week developed symptoms of heart disease, Lyme disease, HIV, renal failure, suicidal behavior, violent tendencies towards anyone that was near them and general mental confusion. The local Media caught wind of it and warned the town. CNN quickly followed with more disturbing news of other people all over the United States with these exact same puzzling symptoms. No certain disease could be pinpointed with accuracy. CNN broadcast breaking news with the sad news that the Kelly family who had quarantined all this time, had started to die. Brian Kelly's 2 cousins had killed themselves and his wife's parents had gone into a coma suddenly. The 4 children escaped death but for no explainable reason, had become homicidal. They left a bloody trail of murders at the quarantine headquarters before the US army along with the F.B.I. Had captured them. Despite them showing signs of disease, they managed to keep pressing on. The Kelly family were now famous with Nigel the pug being the focus. The CDC officially named the cluster of symptoms as "Nigel's Plague" Every infection person's body was found to have foreign matter NOT of this Earth The newest word from the media, was that all 50 states had hundreds of thousands of people including dogs infected. The next broadcast only minutes after the initial dire one, was from England with news of the Royal Family in a state of chaos due to them all showing the same symptoms of the rest of the infected people in the USA. Italy, China, Iran and Korea followed. It was now almost 2 weeks since Nigel the pup had come into contact with the otherworldly contagion and no one had a hope of a cure or antidote. People were slowly dying, their eyes changing color to black when near death. All infected animals haven't died but retained similar symptoms of their human counterparts. Nigel's tail quickly wagged as a woman scientist in a hazmat suit approached his closed off glass cubicle. His light blue eyes focused on the needle in her hand, the President of the United States was talking over the speakers in the quarantine camps. Nigel knew his short life had changed drastically suddenly, his family had changed into strange and unfriendly caretakers. Their absence and disappearance of anyone puzzled him. No one but people in strange hazardous warnings on their clothes and objects visited him. The red haired scientist didn't smile this time, Nigel's ear flattened in alarm and he glanced at the TV. Pictures and video of the young dog were flashing on the screen. People were then shown looking sad, shouting while some were angry threatening to kill the "The Invaders from Outer Space" At last word, CNN, CBC, BBC and even Al-jazeera were broadcasting the End of the World, the Last Days, The Rapture, while billions were morphing into sickly, violent, suicidal, depressed shells of themselves scratching themselves wishing their bump clusters would finally disappear. They never would..the End had just begun.... nickmorgs Member Jun 28, 2010 9 0 0 #18 nickmorgs, May 27, 2012 I really enjoyed Pandemic 2.5.
