Here is my dollar. smes3817 Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2009 1,122 10 38 Massachusetts, USA #3 smes3817, Apr 24, 2012 And it's pretty damn great too! Like a mix between Bean's Quest and Superstar Chefs. Definitely one of their best games yet. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #4 Gabrien, Apr 24, 2012 Agreed. It's excellent. Also a good example of how to take someone else's idea yet still make it your own. Great depth with challenges for the player to choose to take on or not as they go along in addition to the usual difficulty curve. Slightly more puzzle-oriented than Bean's Quest perhaps. Lots of variety, excellent controls, great sound. Andre Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2012 3,643 2 38 #5 Andre, Apr 24, 2012 A funny game. Should I just shut up and get it? Oh, and of course...what other Donut games would you recommend? KennyK Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2011 4,732 0 0 Scarlett Johansson's Hot Tub #7 KennyK, Apr 24, 2012 Yes. Shut up! As a DG enthusiast, I'm a huge fan of the Rat games (Skateboard and Snowboard in particular), as well as Cat Physics, Urban Ninja and Jailhouse Jack. The more items you collect before hitting the ground the higher your score. And there are tons of hidden areas and brand new gameplay elements that mix things up a ton. This is one of the better platformers I've played in a long while! Ben! Well-Known Member Aug 31, 2009 449 2 18 Chicago, IL #10 Ben!, Apr 24, 2012 This is great. Maybe my favorite from these guys. This is one of the few times I'm genuinely impressed with a DG title! Love the scoring system (as I'm always a sucker for combo scoring), and the platforming, which can get a bit challenging if you're determined to get the best score you can. Also loving the slight puzzle elements! Donut should definitely come out with more platformers. Especially if they've got as much to them as this. =oD metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #13 metalcasket, Apr 24, 2012 Alright, I'm really glad I got this. Out-frickin'-standing. Even though that lonely #33 is the only Donut Game I've currently got on my phone, I think it's got itself a permanent little spot in my Games (B) folder. krolis Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2011 343 0 16 PhD student Lausanne, Suisse #14 krolis, Apr 24, 2012 Looks like fun! smes3817 Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2009 1,122 10 38 Massachusetts, USA #15 smes3817, Apr 24, 2012 I'm playing through this more and more and really am blown away with the quality of this gem. I happen to have, and love, all of DG games but this one really is a step above the rest. I'm a completionist and some levels I'm just sitting there bouncing in place wondering how the hell I'm supposed to reach that platform or get the rest of the items to get 3 stars haha. Then when I figure it out, it's so satisfying If you are a platformer fan, love Bean's Quest, Superstar Chefs or having fun of any sort, get this now. Tinsel Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 508 5 18 #17 Tinsel, Apr 24, 2012 I'm a big fan of Donut Games, owning around 20 or so, and this is already one of my favorites. It's similar to Bean's Quest, but with that typical DG flavor. It actually took me a few tries to figure out how to get the more obvious secret in level 1! I can already tell 10 levels in that this one is going to be tough. My favorite Donut Games are: Sunday Lawn(4), Cat Physics (22), Urban Ninja (23), Chicken & Egg (26), and Jailhouse Jack (30).
