In NZ, it's Tuesday. I live on the West Coast of the U.S., so this actually will come out on Monday, for me. But I would have to wait until midnight if I lived on the East. 6.99 and Universal. That's not like EA, but I won't argue. This might be the only legitimate iOS game EA publishes all year, although I hope that's not the case. It very well could be though. At least the only legitimate non-sports game. If the quality is as high as it appears to be, I'll be satisfied no matter what, but my only real question is how long is this game? I would expect 2 hours, but I have no idea. master lee Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2009 1,029 0 0 Greece kos island #14 master lee, Mar 5, 2012 I hate you man I hate you. There's the typical IB-style purchases for credits, and a credit doubler - that costs just as much as the game itself. As for gameplay, there is definite resemblance to Epoch more than Shadowgun. You do move as in Shadowgun, but it's more like Gears of War in the sense that you're moving from a set of chest-high walls to the next set of chest-high walls. Once you're in combat, you tap to select an enemy in range and you will pop out to shoot until your weapon overheats or the enemy dies. You still do the aiming yourself, not Epoch-style. Once he's dealt with, you have a second to chain to another enemy instantly, also increasing your style points. I still can't wrap my head around these, so bear with me for a little bit longer. You can move between cover and out of cover quite freely. There are a few different weapons, different 'powers', somewhat varied enemies - even this early. The story is fully voice acted, better than in ShadowGun though. Although so far it's been similar - my male protagonist talking into a headset. Graphics are decent on my iPhone 4 but I've had a few slowdowns. This seems unrelated to what's going on on the screen though, as I've had no problems with much larger gunfights. There is an option that sends data to EA on stats, etc. and I suspect that was causing the slowdown, I disabled it as soon as I saw it. I've never played any Mass Effect game. Don't even ask for comparisons. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #17 metalcasket, Mar 5, 2012 I read the thread title and was all "Oh, okay....Mass Effect Infi...wait...WAT". >_> Why do you Kiwi's have to live in the future?!?!?!? lumothesinner Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2011 384 0 0 UK #18 lumothesinner, Mar 5, 2012 Dead Space had IAP, didnt expect this to come without it. Would like to know more about the style points when you can. Also isnt the EA connection the thing that sends data to your ME3 Galactic readiness meter, wasnt that one of the main points of the game? Why turn it off?
