I'll be buying this for sure, have a lot of the games on iMame but i want to support the original games. I hope you can simply buy a pack of games ('seems' like you can) rather than having to buy credits, a good set of games in there as well, hope they keep adding to it in the future Jack111 Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2009 610 1 18 Holland #5 Jack111, Feb 22, 2012 Omfg finaly we get to play Gauntlet pavarotti2007 Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2010 1,030 0 0 UK #6 pavarotti2007, Feb 22, 2012 If it's credits I'll be passing on this. I'm in love with the app store. I haven't turned on my Xbox or ps3 in over a year. The big question is the controls, since the games range from Tapper (4-way joystick and a button toggle) to Spy Hunter (analog steering and acceleration and multiple distinct weapons) to Defender (WALL OF BUTTONS). iCade support would be a good sign. Zghying Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2010 64 5 8 #12 Zghying, Feb 22, 2012 iCade support is a must. I would buy all the games if it has that. Then I'll need to build a Putt Putt course and invite all my childhood friends to come play. I would give them a good deal on tokens. studepaber007 Well-Known Member Jan 26, 2011 330 0 0 Ohio #13 studepaber007, Feb 22, 2012 If it's a "token" system I won't be buying, if it's unlimited play I will definitely buy (missed out on the iMAME download ) Silvestris Well-Known Member Jan 26, 2012 237 0 16 http://www.points2shop.com/?ref=Silvestris #14 Silvestris, Feb 22, 2012 Disappointed it isn't available for the 2g ipod. Yes I know it's old, but these games are pretty simple and more complex/detailed games have worked just fine. I mean I am SURE, 100%, this particular game could, so I am not attacking you for your comment, it just triggered my pet peeve haha. Like on other threads, youll see some brand new game like MC3 and people are all like "Y dis no werk on my old <insert device>" and it annoys me. crunc Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2008 4,575 0 0 #17 crunc, Feb 22, 2012 Last edited: Feb 22, 2012 APB. If that works well, I'm in. So if anybody gets this and the pack with APB, please let me know how well that particular game controls. I *love* APB. Also, Gauntlet and Gauntlet II better have local multiplayer, at least. I'm not expecting online, but please have local multiplayer. Gauntlet isn't much fun solo. crunc Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2008 4,575 0 0 #18 crunc, Feb 22, 2012 On the other hand, 6 year old Xboxes play all the same games as brand new ones. OK, so they probably have red ringed by now, but you get the idea. LOL. It's only in this land of yearly new devices that we have this issue. So I can appreciate being frustrated that an older iOS device doesn't work with game X. It happens much faster than traditional gaming platforms. bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #19 bigrand1, Feb 22, 2012 Well, to me, this is a day late and a dime short. Already have these on iMAME, and I have no interest in having 'em all twice on my ipod. Gonna pass..... Mookmonster Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2010 398 0 16 #20 Mookmonster, Feb 22, 2012 While my final opinion rests on actually playing the game and the controlls, from what I understand now I really hope this game sets the standard going forward for retro collections on ios. $1 for 8 games (the other 4, skiball etc, dont really count) is brilliant, and if the iaps are a buck each for packs including NARC, and the other pack with gauntlet, frankly this is awesome. My positive belief rests on the hope that the cost includes unlimited plays, and no bullshit credit system like with the capcom app, or the retarded costs of the namco app. I have imame, but dealing with roms is a pain in the ass. Over time, this app will likely get all the major midway classic releases, and apparently for a very reasonable cost. I totally approve, and hope others do too. Thanks soulless bastards running whatever name is left of midway! You may be souless, but at least yer games are cheap! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
