Appular is quitting the publishing market and removing all their apps from the app store. So I had no other choice then to rerelease Push Panic under my own name. Otherwise Push Panic would just vanish from the app store. Push Panic is now available under my own name and will be free the first couple of days, so that current customers have a chance to move to the rereleased version for free. The bad news is that all level progress / GameCenter Leaderboard and Achievements are lost, there was no way to move those over to the new version. On the other hand: Now everyone has a new chance to set a nice rank on the 3 additional game modes. Also all app store reviews are gone, which is a big shame. So I would like to ask you guys to leave a review. It'll be appreciated. Stan Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2010 1,392 0 36 USA #2 Stan, Jan 16, 2012 That's very rude of appular... I love this game. a shame the data will be gone though. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #3 awp69, Jan 16, 2012 That sucks. Very cool of u to make it free for a bit during the transition. It's an awesome game. Trying to think if I bought any other Appular games that are being pulled. But I was just curious: how does this re-releasing work, legally-wise? With the rights and everything? When it was published by Appular the game's copyright was mine. So legally there is not much more in there. The big problem is the lost of progress and GameCenter Leaderboard and Achievements. And offcourse all the reviews on the internet that now point to an pulled app. Also all itunes reviews are lost, which is a real bummer. I hope some of you post a new review So long for releasing a title with a publisher, I propably won't go that route anymore. headcaseGames Well-Known Member Jun 26, 2009 1,869 0 0 Mobile Game Developer Hollywood, CA http://www.headcasegames.com #6 headcaseGames, Jan 17, 2012 that's tough luck, man. losing the reviews especially - your game was pretty popular around here back in it's day and hopefully a few fans of the game will see fit to help you out with a re-download and new review. I've always liked it and will leave a 5 star review again. Unfortunately, I've already had the game crash on me twice, both times about midway through the time panic mode. I added some extra debug output to this rerelease so there is a chance that I can see why it crashes on you. Hope to get it fixed. Will look at it in the evening. I downloaded this last night and then promptly lost a few hours of my life. I love it. I left a review and gave it 5 stars. I understand that they don't want to release new games ( they lost its battle with Chillingo/EA/other publishers ) but pulling them from the AppStore ? They don't have 99$ per year for supporting dev account ? At first when I saw this thread title I was angry, I thought that means some "freemium new way" or something like that, but now great apologize! Very nice from you that you put this for free for the beginning. More devs like you! It is and it was a great game, good luck with your next productions!
