Haha-looks like will have to clear phone of quite a lot.... Just for the few games today lol! Is that size before installed?so will be like 2gig?
I understand the concern about file size, believe me, and it's one of the main reasons I'm not picking the game up right now, because I don't want to have to make the choice of deleting a number of things off my device. On the other hand, people are always bemoaning the lack of "console-quality" titles on iOS. Well, if you want those kinds of games, you're going to have to sacrifice some space. And again, I get it, but this isn't just a pretty-looking game with shallow, boring gameplay, a lackluster story and underwhelming execution (i.e., a lesser Gameloft title) taking up all your space. The Bard's Tale is a classic.
Exactly! So many of us want this platform to evolve into something greater yet when we get a game like this, the first page already has price and size complaints.
YAY! It already comes out? 5,- € is a steal for this, this is a full port of the PC original game. Hours and hours and hours of gameplay! And the 3GS is supported, hurray! This just p'wned IB2.
Okay, price yes, I concede that point. The size I was just pointing out - since this is the first app I know of that is over 1GB download. Even IB2 is less. (That's why it's bold in the first post)
Oh boy, a console-quality release from 7 years ago. We are really being spoiled. Game wasn't that great back then, either.
The eye roll sure makes it look like a complaint. None the less, there's no point in ticky tacky arguing. It just frustrates me that the people on this forum, who are by far some of the most hardcore gamers on this platform (much more than the avg. iPhone/iPad/iPod touch user), still find reasons to complain over a game like this. We should all be ecstatic to have the ability to play this on our iDevices.
Is this a remake of 1985 one I played on spectrum 128k in 1988 which looking on a website cost £8.95 The Bards Tale worldofspectrum
The Bard's Tale and IFII on the same night? All we need now is for Prevail to come roaring through the clouds (and for yonder cowboy simulation from Gameloft to mosey on into town), and this week's thursday release will cause a unprecedented drop in productivity in industrialized countries
