Your goal is to develop all 4 of the key spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms, and Markets. To do this, you will position your leaders, create and extend kingdoms, build monuments, and resolve conflicts. Tension arises when kingdoms connect and leaders clash on the board, with only one leader of each type surviving. You will thus aquire victory points in each of the four spheres. The winner is the player who develops their civilization in the most balanced way, without revealing a sphere of weakness. With no setup time required, no pieces to lose, and no arguments about the rules, the future of board games is here and Tigris & Euphrates gives you exactly what you want -- to play! How to play: During their turn, the active player may carry out up to two of the following actions, in any order: - Position (place, move or remove) a leader. - Place a tile and earn a victory point. - Place a catastrophe tile. - Swap up to 6 tiles The active player may choose two different actions, or the same action twice. Features ======== No set up required Support for 3 modes of play: solo, "pass and play," and "hotseat" (around the table) play Stunning HD graphics for iPad, Retina, and original iPhone/iPod screens In-game hints make it easy to learn the game Tested on iOS 3.1.3 through iOS 5.0 Play your own iPod music Note: you must install iOS 5 on your device in order to play T&E online! Do the various AI opponents have unique personalities? codito Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 196 0 0 iPhone developer http://www.codito.ca #7 codito, Nov 15, 2011 There is a "Stats" screen that shows your wins vs games played, total points from all games, and an ELO ranking. It includes tracking for the AI opponents so you can see how they do in your games too. Because of the nature of this game (there are only 4 symbols to choose from), there aren't exactly unique AI personalities, but you can set the difficulty level of each AI player and those levels do have some variation in terms of style of play. codito Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 196 0 0 iPhone developer http://www.codito.ca #8 codito, Nov 15, 2011 We want to make sure people know how to start online games, because sometimes the Game Center UI isn't completely intuitive: 1. Tap "Play" and then "Online" in the app to open the Game Center game viewer. 2. If you see any games or invites here, you are good to go! 3. Otherwise, to create or join a new game, tap the "+" button. 4. To create a 3 or 4 player game, tap "Add Player" to add a third or fourth player. 5. You can leave the other players as "Auto-Match" for a random match-up, or you can invite one or more friends from your Game Center friend list by tapping the "Invite Friend" button in the appropriate slot. We'll be hooking up the normal setup screen to online game creation for version 1.1, so that should make it clearer what kind of game you are creating and give you more options like "Public Scores", etc. Hopefully these instructions will help in the meantime. Would I stand to gain a bigger ELO boost, all things being equal final score wise, if I had just beat 3 high level AI opponents than 3 lowest level AI opponents? Maybe better put, will the AI difficulty levels of my opponents have any sort of effect on my solo ELO ranking? I used to play the board game a lot but had been awhile so the Tutorial was helpful. I won my first game, 3 player vs. hard AI, pretty handily. The AI seemed like they were playing decent, so not sure what happened, but I'll probably be mainly playing MP anyway. You need to zoom in to place tiles on the iPhone - and you need to make sure you zoom in around the general area you plan to place the tile. It takes a bit to get used to - I needed to undo my turns quite a few times, but no complaints. I think it's a great implementation. Highly recommended based on initial play, look forward to playing online.
