This game is very unique, a mix of a match-3 with platforming (mainly jump around and collect coins, its too early to tell), with some pretty good level design... so far some levels are tricky, in a good way, Candy Boys match 3 inspiration is what makes you think, your given a low amount of blocks to do the job, so some strategy is involved. First stages are easy, but they are a tutorial for whats to come... with many obstacles along the way, and its a fun way. Retina ready, its beautiful, also with gamecenter and/or openfeint. I have big fingers and the arrows and buttons are very small for my fingers, buy they are responsive. One good thing is that the touch sensivity area is bigger than the size of the controls, so its good THE BAD: You have to get used to the jumping mechanic to survive, because when you reach levels where you have to jump from a tiny platform to another, if dont get the hang of it, you will die. Other than that, i blame my big fingers for that matter. CONCLUSION: Straight away, if you love match-3 games buy this now, you will love it (as i already do). If you like platformers give this game a serious try, is pretty unique and good. I like it a lot, and not because i got it for free, its because its original and an interesting take on the so much saturated match-3 genre. And fun. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #17 Gabrien, Aug 10, 2011 Game Impressions So you have a very basic Match 3 game. Except, instead of clicking to make matches, you have a little guy who needs to manually cart each block to where you want to make a match. So you have a very basic Match 3 game mixed with a very basic platform game. So what would make this sort of a marriage fun? I wish the developers had asked themselves that question. It doesn't help that there is very minimal sound in the game as well as minimal general bells and whistles. Good match 3s make matching satisfying for the player, normally through aural and visual feedback. Not so here. It doesn't help that the inertia of the main character is floaty and the platforming imprecise. The overall impression I got was of two gaming genres being slapped together for no particular reason, as opposed to a mix which creates a greater whole. After a handful of levels I found myself becoming bored and disinterested in continuing. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #18 TheFrost, Aug 10, 2011 I reached end of world 2 and im becoming aware of some things... with the rest i dont agree, but yes is a bit floaty, and patforming is not imprecise, its like the borders of the platforms are covered in melted chocolate awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #19 awp69, Aug 10, 2011 Interesting impressions so far. I like match 3's and platformers so this is a curious combination for me. Since you're opinions are pretty far apart, guess I'll wait for some more feedback before diving in. Match 3s nowadays have to be pretty original in and of themselves just to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. While not requiring a "match 3", QuBIT did a nice job of merging color matching needs with the racing genre. So I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to do a good job merging match 3 with platformers. Maybe this isn't it, but we'll see. ak47killa Well-Known Member Feb 26, 2011 642 0 0 #20 ak47killa, Aug 10, 2011 Looks good. But I won't be buying. I gotta stick buy my guns.
