I don't think it's anything to do with saving. For me the next level only appears after you do the "get x points" objective.

Meant to mention this earlier (and maybe someone already did), but I've been juggling space on my 3GS so I actually put this on my iPod Touch 2G. And it works great!

Can't say that about too many games now so for anyone who still has one of those antiques, it does work (yes, I suffered through the pain of a 2G for years, and know that even my 3GS is outdated ).

I like this, but I also find it frustrating. Sometimes you end up with a grid where there is maybe one match in the whole thing and it's hard to find and I end up dying because of it. Probably others are better at spotting such lone matches, but even then you usually don't end up with much to match after that. So that part of the game frustrates me, but still I kept giving it another go. I think I'll burn out on this before too long, but I'll get my money's worth of entertainment out of it.

    Thread explosion!!

Ups of the big variety to Gabrien. I got it on the first day thanks to the thread and game description/genre.

I agree with Strivemind; would love some GC achievements and leaderboards.

Otherwise, once the rows and columns mechanic clicks the game becomes fiendishly great.

This is the best game to come out in quite some time. Get ready to be featured by Apple. Bask in the glory; you deserve it.

    Hello Everybody.

I woke up this morning to a couple of messages from my friends saying there's something I really need to check on my computer. I had no idea quite what an impact there would be, I guess I've got Gabrien and Eli to thank for that. I'm still reeling.

All the comments are really useful too. Some people seem to get a bug where you just don't rank up, and this is pretty terrible, I'm trying to reproduce that now. top priority

Sounds like a pause button is needed too :)

One of the things that has been mentioned a lot is that it would be nice for a slightly slower, more thoughtful approach.

I agree - it's a bit of variety, One thing I wanted to do (but ran out of time) was to have another door that is like "The Puzzlemaster" , the game plays in a very similar manner, but rather than time you have a finite amount of tiles in which to get through, sound interesting?

And game center and leaderboards is a big deal? I would like some score comparison too, If you ever played Spacechem and their histogram-based leaderboard, I'd love to do something like that

Anyway, thanks so much for all your comments, I still don't think its quite as good as you are making it out to be, but its really nice. The game is basically a year of every evening and weekend outside of my day job hours, and I was expecting to probably sell 30 or 40 sympathy copies to family and friends. This is ming blowing.

How many copies is mind blowing?

And you can't fake real gamer enthusiasm. The TA plays video sounded like a drug addict getting his fix!

Thanks for joining Luca! Always good to see devs get involved here. And your game deserves all the praise it's getting. Pretty sophisticated stuff has to be going on in the background for a puzzle/RPG hybrid like this to work as well as it does and I'm loving it. Honestly it's more fun than any of the other puzzle/RPG games that I've played and get put on a pedastal.

I'm having a blast playing the game so far. I'm really enjoying the sliding mechanic for the match 3 and the combination of an endless runner/rpg with that is great.

Just a quick question about the glitch for not upgrading thats been mentioned. I'm not sure if I've got it or not. I made it to dungeon crawler but haven't advanced to anything past that and when I select the dungeon the arrow next to the part that says dungeon crawler that's pointing right is gray and I can't select it. I have unlocked all of the rooms except for the one that requires the scout rank and I've been able to upgrade my weapons and that stuff without any problems. I also haven't received anymore challenges to complete in the levels. I just assumed it took awhile to get to scout and there was a limited number of challenges, it'd be great if I was wrong though (well for the limited number of challenges at least) Thanks for the help!

Also having that "puzzlemaster" mode sounds like a lot of fun and adding in leaderboards and game center achievements would be also awesome

Don't have much to add beyond saying that this game is fantastic! I pretty much have zero time to play games these days, but I've already managed to put an hour or so into this one. Great job!

I think you're being a little modest. This is seriously some good work here. To me, this game is what a phone game should be. Short spurts of fun that carry over into your next game, which add depth/replayability and not letting you feel like any play time has been wasted. It also feels like you're playing more than one genre of games at once!

It's quite hard to achieve this feat as many developers try to. Casually or not, you've created quite a monster here and I thank you for that because I can't stop playing.
