Haha..I'm the same way. I suck at match 3 in general but the sliding also really throw me off too. But I also can't stop playing. In some ways, I like how each game is so fast that one more try mentality really pushes me on! Been in a gaming slump the past few weeks and just lost interest in most games..but somehow this game hooked me.
How long are your games that you guys need a pause button? Mine last 2 minutes MAX, with most about 1 minute long. And if you die, you get to keep everything earned anyways. IF a pause button is implemented, I suggest having a large info screen come up (that covers the board) that would give info such as: - current missions - overall stats - current run stats - info about items I don't usually bug my friends about games, but the first thing I did this morning was text everyone to get this game.
Add me to the list of 10000000 fans, having a blast with this game. The puzzles are challenging and I like the dungeon crawling theme. If anything there is a bit of grinding involved but so far it has been fun and for a puzzle game grinding is not necessarily a ba thing (i.e. no one says that Tetris is grinding because you replay similar levels to get a higher score). Good game. +1, lack of pause is not a dealbreaker here. This is about fast furious puzzle action so even a pause feature might feel disjointed (plus pause could enable "cheating" by voiding the time pressure element). I think if you want to pause 10000000 then it may be you don't understand the game.
Just because someone wants something different doesn't mean they don't understand it. One man's "cheating" is another man's "improvement".
LOVING this game! I've been trying to figure out a concept for a game that did something similar (mix of puzzle/matching mechanics + side scroller/runner) and this game totally nailed it. The top screen is interesting without being too overwhelming. Only played for 20 minutes or so so far, but it's great so far. Dungeon Raid is still my #1 iOS game of all time but I do appreciate the 'meta' game of building up your castle between runs. EDIT: Is this game coming out for Android too? I noticed it's made with Unity, so should be possible.
OMG, this is like the GAME OF THE YEAR!! Based on Dungeon Raid idea, but perfectly excecuted, a big congratulations to the devs that thought this out to the perfection.
Game of the Year! This game is awesome. I thought I would hate it, and at first did because I sucked, but I'm really loving it now. I love how it's so simple, but keeps you vigilant. It's so fun to line up a simple combination and end up busting out 5 or 6 in a row. You really do keep getting better over time. Great work, LucaRedWood!
Yup, I've grinded a ton (2500 of each resource). I've also closed the process out and the same thing is still an issue. I'm planning to just delete it and reinstall to see if it fixes - but I actually played so much on the iPad that I wasn't in a rush. I'm sure he'll get it fixed - it's a fantastic game. I just wanted him to be aware.
I can confirm this. Right arrow to next difficulty is gray. I've killed lots of stuff, saved up lots of stuff, upgraded some shops, etc.
One thing I noticed is that the puzzle becomes markedly more difficult after around the 3rd enemy. I suspect this is an intention program of delivering fewer useful titles, if so it would be good if the difficulty rise was more gradual. Still a great game...
Just got the bug where the objectives disappear. iPod 4th gen non jailbroken. I am at scout level and was approaching the master scout objective, but forgot the amount required to get this. I have over 500 000 points. Someone stated that deleting and reinstalling fixes this. However does that also mean that I have to start from the beginning?
I've only played tutorial and I already have a strong feeling this will be a GOTY nominee for me! Heck it might be even better than Dungeon Raid!
