You made the most addictive game I've found on iPhone since 2009 ( imo ) ! So don't worry, of course there could be refinements. I personally believe that if you carry on playing beyond the knee jerk reaction to ask what or why then eventually people will realise. I mean that I don't want my hand holding through every game mechanic because the discovery is a pleasure in itself. You only have to better a previous score once to realise the game works like this. Surely it's not too much to ask !
Alright, so I just beat the game. 8 hours and 23 minutes. It was awesome. The only problem...I want more!!!! Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Thanks for a stellar game!!!
Strange request... But did you do all of the music yourself? Ever consider releasing it? One of those dungeon crawl songs is incredible.
It's the IOS market, nothing to do with you. Used to be, if something in a game didn't work the way someone expected, they would say, "Hmm, I wonder what's going on, it must be a bug." Now they say, "Must be a bug," they are just used to assuming that everything is a bug. So you have to explain things more, or people will jump to conclusions.
Consistently breaking 2 million every run now. The end can't be too far off! This is going to be the first iOS game I've finished in a quite a while. 10000000 is just a must-have game in every aspect, even for people who dislike match-3 games like me. Best $1.99 I've spent on the AppStore in a long time, and I download, give or take, 5 paid games a week. It's still going strong on the paid charts! Really good to see.
Great Game, Resource Bug Congrats on the game. We are really enjoying it! One thing I ran into though thats keeping me from progressing is Resources stopped collecting. Wood and Stone blocks are not giving me points so I cant upgrade my Keep Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon because I really want to progress running on an iPad 3 Wifi 5.1.1 Thanks again for a great game!
Make sure you haven't activated any of the alchemy potions. Some of them reduce wood/stone gains to 0 in exchange for gold or XP.
I seriously dont get the appeal. I cant tell what any of the items do. There is no health meter, or is the problem when you get pushed off the screen? There is no explanation of ... well pretty much everything. And looks...well I am not a retro fan. I could get over it if the rest of the game was as good as dungeon raid or similar games, but so far not seeing it. That could be because I dont understand anything at this point, since the tutorial was like 5 seconds long.
That was it!! Thanks totally didn't realize I activated it doh. I do wish the game had more snes 16 bit graphics rather than Amiga 4 bit style - but it's great either way.
Watch the 5 minute review/play through on page 1. If you get pushed to the left, game over and you keep any resources or exp that you picked up. In front of a monster, match swords or staves. In front of a chest or door, match keys. Matching anything else is a resource to spend outside in the area you wake up in to upgrade your abilities. Items that look like weapons or balls, use them against monsters. Items that look like keys, use them as keys. Items that look like food, pushes everything at top to the right, thus giving you more time. Items that look like scrolls, click on them and the board changes a bit to help you. Good luck.
The problem is when you get pushed off, that's explained in the tutorial. I love it because it explains just enough for me to play, but doesn't bog me down in numbers (matching 3 swords will do 27.3 damage. The red ball does 40 damage but the green one only does 12.25 damage. BLEH). I do wish there was a wiki page with all this info on it.
In the good old days of gaming, people didn't expect a manual or tutorial, they would enjoy the process of figuring the game out for themselves. Those days may be behind us, though.
Lol ! +1 I'm sick of modern day gamers insisting that devs ruin games by making every mechanic clear at the outset. Please let us discover the mechanic using our heads. Hence a game rather than some boring interactive experience. No disrespect to anyone living or dead ..
We are very different people. I loved buying a game like Falcon 3.0, opening the box and finding a manual the size of War and Peace which I could toss on the toilet and spend many intimate moments with.
Holy ****. I just scored over the 100k mark and thought I had reached freedom. I forgot it takes a million points for that :/
