It's just weird the way the developer left it. I love DR, if he added a $999.99 IAP to unlock everything I would buy it without hesitation and get many hours of enjoyment out of the game, but I'm not willing to play for dozens or hundreds of hours first just to unlock everything.
Oh my. I played this long and don't notice. Highscore? That is just plain wrong. Cumulative makes so much more sense, at least for a casual gamer: For each objective reaced, reward 1/3 of the points.
Guess I don't understand people thinking it should be cumulative. Seems the norm is high score. Look at 99% of game center boards, it's high score. Great game, beat in just over 3 hours in dungeon. Actually did it while trying to get the last rank which only needed 7M. I like this more than dungeon raid. DR is great, but the feeling that I am working towards a goal is so much better. Yes this is much shorter, but enjoyed those hours a lot more.
The developer should have clarified the goal in the App description right? O wait. It would be meaningless if the score was cumulative, you're meant to score 10million in 1 run.
.. This is my most played game lately, whenever I have a spare min or two I hop on this! Great game once again.
Continuing to play, and trying to get higher scores, is the endless mode. Why are so many people confused by this?
By saying mode it implies there is the option to do something else besides exactly the same thing. EG from this thread: The dev was talking about adding a puzzle mode. That would be a different room or switch to pull so the game is slightly different.
Really? I thought "endless mode" strongly suggests "keep doing exactly the same thing". That's what makes it endless.
To me what we're doing is 'regular mode'. Anything labelled differently shouldn't be regular. However... I've not unlocked 'endless' yet. Still sitting at 2 million and change.
Stating endless mode is unlocked does imply that something new has opened up. Since endless mode appears to be the exact same mode that everyone is already playing, then the message should probably be removed.
Sorry, but this just isn't true. It take a bit of time to unlock everything in DR, but its not an endless process. I would guess it took about 4-8 hours of play time before all levels were upgraded to level 10. Then I played it about 50-100 more hours before I decided to play something else for a while.
All Dungeon Raid races and classes unlocked and max leveled in 8 hours? Seriously?? I played at least 8 hours after the races and classes were added and I got a few unlocks total in that entire time. And you need like 100 or something.
Wow you're still bitter over Dungeon Raid? I hope there's some sort of "reset progress" feature added. This game was a lot of fun and it'd be cool to have a shot at beating your old clear time.
BS it takes way longer than 8 to 10 hours to max everything in DR, no matter how good you are, way longer
"Bitter" seems a bit strong. I'm not angry or hostile, just frustrated by the wasted opportunity there.
Just read up on the latest comments. I spent ages trying to think up names and you folks seem to have come up with better ones in a few minutes, I like that 10000000 stands out, but it is damn hard to type and search for. Yeah - Dungeon Raid is a fantastic game, I don't think 10000000 is as good, but maybe one day! After this bugfix release is out, I think the main thing is to add more endgame content (stuff to do once you are free, I've got a couple of ideas), and probably game center integration. Glad you are all having fun Luca
I for one think the name and icon of this game is... Spectacular. The name and icon are both unique in the AppStore and they stand out. This game is different than the rest and the name suits it well.
