Game title A friend told me to grab it. "It's called one million" he said. Google and itunes are both pretty unforgiving when searching for a game with a name like 10000000. I concur with the posts above to find some catchy game title that lets people know it is a puzzle game or a fantasy themed game. But definitely looks like my kind of game. Looking forward to it.
For what it's worth, all of the top 10 results for this search refer to this game: https://www.google.com/#q=10000000+ios+game This is the type of thing that Google is actually very good at (I worked for 5+ years at Google, on stuff like this). In fact, even if you just search for [ 10000000 ] without telling Google you're interested in the IOS game with that name, it still shows mostly results about this game.
I'm on that rank after Scout or even one rank after that and I've only gotten 500,000+. What am I doing wrong or am I doing everything right but multiply scores aren't enough?
Scout is only level 5 out of 10. Just keep improving your equipment and leveling up. Unless you are totally unable to do any of the objectives being thrown at you, then you pretty much have to just keep playing to make progress. I reached 10000000 in 4:01 of dungeon time (it gives you your stats at the end, I don't think you can check it until you win).
It works fine for me. After winning, you can just keep playing at the same level and keep trying to get higher scores.
Wtf... I restarted the game and I have gone past the Wayfarer rank glitch, but now every after a run, the Run Again button does not show anymore. Ugh.
Love the game, but on my 3GS, it's easy to miss the target row/column - which is annoying. More seriously though; I haven't received a single point since I reached 2419596. Anyone experienced something similar? I've tried restarting the game to no avail. Anyone experienced visual bugs while playing? Tiles gone, not moving? It happened in relation to a phone call, I think, and no points since.
Wondering how I can keep playing this and work at the same time... I agree, the 10 mil name is perfect (keep it), and as a goal, it keeps you coming back to play. GC leaderboards would be good for those who do pass the goal and want to go for the high. Also stats like # of matches, monsters killed, etc., could all be good GC fodder. I would still consider changing the icon, though, many games do that, and here's one that would be better served with something different.
I'm loving it so far, though I think the 'better than DR!!!' comments are probably premature We'll see how it evolves. Dungeon Raid is still my #1 iOS game of all time. The differences between this and DR (so far) is that it trades customization for progression. DR had customization at each level-up, meaning every game was different. I'd could specialize in armor and make a tank-like character, or go a more offensive route. Then you had the 20+ skills which you could mix and match. Later on fireflame added classes and advantages/disadvantages to further add customization. By comparison, there is actually no real customization in 10000000 (yet), and so for me, the hook is progression. It's fun unlocking achievements, reaching new areas, upgrading the castle, etc... It's a great meta-game that keeps me coming back. I haven't reached the end however, so I don't know if it's as fun as DR once everything is unlocked and the hook is gone. It's more like an endless runner than DR-style RPG, IMO. Really looking forward to a less frantic mode, as has been discussed, as I think it's a much better format for mobile games where you could be interrupted at any time. Overall, a great game and can't wait to see where it goes
I think it says something about the IOS platform, people are getting so accustomed to lots of bugs in their games, the first thing they think when they don't understand something is not, "Gee, maybe I should figure out what's going on," but, "Oh no, this must be a bug."
It's certainly not a better purchase than Dungeon Raid, because a single game of DR could take hours, and you could easily play dozens of those without getting bored, while this game is over in four or six or eight hours and there's not much else to do once you're done. But those hours are very enjoyable, it's certainly the best real-time puzzle game I've ever played. DR added customization which could have extended its life a lot, but the way DR did unlocks was intensely frustrating, it took literally hours to unlock anything. Here you can unlock everything quickly, which is much more gratifying. What would be neat is a combination, let you unlock things faster (like 10M) but give you more ways to combine them (like DR).
Yeah, I do agree with that -- what's good about 10M is that so single play-through is 'wasted'. You're always making progress to your goal. It's nearly impossible to unlock most of the content in DR, and I've sunk hours into it.
I feel that it added replayability to DR. I'm excited to see what's next for this game, I have a feeling there will be some pretty big updates in the future.
