Did not like Fargoal due to the controls and unappealing tileset (personal tastes). I much prefer 100 Rogue's controls and tiles!!

    I can't say I'm really happy picking
this game up. It keeps crashing ,taking me back to
my icon page. (on my 16gig iPod touch).

I've been asking for that for months.

So far, they just don't like the idea.

I haven't died of hunger in a while. You should have played before there were drumsticks ginger bread men and so on! Every other death was induced from hunger. But you also had mana regen while hungry then so you could just heal yourself back up.

I think they said the shop will be working with at least one food item at patch. Which is more than enough each floor.

I can understand EA internal war rages ending in sales for usa only or non usa only.

But from an indie dev like that, such country segregation, is insulting. I mean the sale now over, it's never been on in my app store.

Ha well that probably saved me from wasting one buck on a crappy game.

Regarding food drops: Both the Genie and Satan have Roasted Foods in their stages, so if food's running short you need to start making your way down faster. You'll be a bit less prepared for the Boss Fights, experience-wise, but they should both be beatable either way. This also shouldn't be the way you normally need to play either, just a semi-rare occurrence that you feel nudged downward a bit quicker.

2.0 helps with this some, since the boss fights are reached more quickly all-around. Most games I can get to the genie now just fine without eating or starving, so the food at that stage is a bonus on top of my starting food.

Has this already gone back up in price? I probably won't be able to download it for another 6 hours. :(

Hmm.. First of all the genie boss battle was strange I somehow couldn't hit him after the first few whacks... until i figured out i had to target his TURBAN. after I killed him well I tried that food glitch thingie.. and now my save game refuses to let me through the side doors even though the genie is dead. Is this some form of punishment for abusing food?? :(

Now I can't proceed on the game at all.. dead genie, locked side doors..

Dunno if I tested that and specifically *before* fixing a ton of stuff in all 3 (now) boss fights, but every condition of lamp / floating / fight started / fight ended / fight in progress loads and reloads perfectly in 2.0. Which is still in review.

Oh, and if you get to either boss fight make sure you beeline for the food and pick it up before anything causes you to reload the game. Trust me.

Sounds like you finally decided the food needs to go! :D

Well I guess I'll wait for this magical 2.0 update! Finally a roguelike I really enjoy besides POWDER.

Naaah, I wouldn't go that far. Food has it's place: nipping at the heels of those that would try to grind. However! Now that early-game monsters are going to be worth *far* fewer points than endgame ones, it seems a bit silly to penalize players that stick around the early levels for other reasons (namely getting used to the game).

I'm back to playing SOF as the food drop issue makes the game not that fun.

Please just increase food drops or maybe have a no food mode with a separate leaderboard?

Hmm. I don't know but it seems to me like there is enough food. I have yet do die out of starvation. (Well, maybe I haven't ventured enough into the Dungeon, the furthest I've managed to get was Dungeon 3 and I had plenty of food)

IMO The game is awesome and if the bugs get fix'd (which probably have been fixed in 2.0) it's easily 5/5. Next stop is: adding more items and more different effects caused by throwing an item

Agree! since all the drumsticks, gingerbread heads etc, I never died from starving again. There is usually enough food in the game as it is now!
