Had a great run last night, picked up all kinds of great stuff (love the new descriptions and it seems you've implemented more sounds as well). The whole thing ended after being chased into a room by 5 stone kittens! They pinned me to a wall and that was it. Frustrating? Maybe, but I still totally love this game. It keeps getting better and better!
Hello there, just wanted to thank you guys for a wonderful game! And want to report a few bugs in the latest release. 1. Swords dropping everywhere. No idea what caused it but it sure wasn't easy to walk all those sharp tiles afterwards (Crusader class and resumed a game after a few hours) 2. Focus leveling wrong weapon is still present (although I had this Godly gripphon weapon equiped my wand of accuracy still got leveled instead also it leveled even if I just trew arrows or rocks) 3. On 2nd dungeon floor I got 3 chests in the same room all dropping mage skillbook. Perhaops it would be good to disable skillbook dropping for Crusader Also another suggestion: Make me able to sell my loot to shopkeeper. Make it some symbolic sum perhaps so we can afford more buying and collecting loot would make more sense that way. When it comes to bug reporting should I provide some more info like what I was wearing, skills used and such? In any case, keep up the good work guys! This is my most played game on iPhone by far. /hugs developers *edit* I'm almost positive that restart makes swords drop. Like others have reported swords can't be used and don't have description but can be pick up and thrown for some 5-6 damage also another bug. I had this wooden sword +2 and found 2 more enhance weapon scolls but I just couldn't use them on the sword. Even after restart.
Reinstalled, crashed at the second dungeon level. Resumed game and after a while the screen froze - but all the buttons worked - had to exit the app. I liked what I saw but the bugs are incredibly frustrating and annoying as always. 100 rouges, cya in another 2 months, I hope you'll be semi-bug free by then
Found the issue with the shop crashing. It appears to only be happening after you reload a game and try to buy from a shop on the same floor. This will be fixed in 1.07, but can be worked around for now by not buying on the same floor as the one you have reloaded a saved game in.
I've had a few minor problems recently that haven't happened to me before, idk if others have had them: 1- Loading a new game froze, the loading screen said "Floor Cleared" and remained there. Playing as Wizard on an iPhone 4. 2- Got some pretty crazy slowdown one game, but I exited and resumed my game and it worked fine. It was like watching the game at 10fps or something lol. Still absolutely love this game, it has had the longest staying power of any game on my phone and I'm very picky about replayability
I've seen this a few times (2nd gen iPod Touch, iOS4.0) and occasionally I get a quick flash of me two steps forward (usually beyond who I was attacking) and then it snaps back and animates as it should have. Other things that people have probably reported: - The number next to my blue bar often glitches up, and 8s seem to be filled in. - The how to play video is sideways. - I always get the "your adventure begins here..." when I continue games (strange to be told this when I'm on the third level and have already spent my skill points!) - There is still some blurred text. One minor niggle about the UI - when I tap on something, I'd like to have some sort of feedback. There are various places like where you start a challenge mode game or even the "Touch screen to continue" where you tap, and then end up waiting and wondering what's going on. It would be nice to have some sort of audible/visual cue so that I know that my tap was registered and that I'm not just sitting here like an idiot... That being said, the game is a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to more characters, challenges and locales! EDIT: I almost forgot - picking up items is dangerous as sometimes I end up walking instead of picking up the item...
Made it to the 3rd dungeon without seeing one stone kitten this time, but got nailed because all I had left were 3 or 4 yellow potions and, as others have posted, they appear not to function. I still have had no crashes or slow-downs of any kind.
I love this game, but it's currently (1.06) very buggy - I stumbled over almost every problem mentioned in the previous posts
I see no point to the stone kittens. This game is hard enough as it is without risking the additional possibilty of being trapped by stone kittens. Maybe they should be eliminated? More annoying than challenging, and utterly pointless, IMHO. -JLD
Flood, we're going to limit them to 1 per level for the next version. Thanks guys for all your continued feedback. Wait until you see all the new content we have - we have something like 6 to 8 new fully animated pixel art monsters, a new boss, and a new tileset all getting ready to go.
I agree with you, just be advised that a masochistic purest with get on here and argue that frustration = fun.
I think they are good... when there is only 1 every now and then. But for the most part I use them as a shield to pick off other things in the room.
8, by my count, 9 if you include the boss, 13-14 if you include some pet / summon type things. Exciting times, and much to be done.
Development update time! 1.07 is ready to go out the door, but since we're going to be touting it as (mainly) a bug-fix-fest, I'm giving the team another night to look it over and make sure I haven't made anything worse. At the moment, the changelog stands as follows: If anything else is found wrong I'll add it in, but at this point I expect if it is it won't be something you all are seeing, but something I broke trying to get the above working properly. Also, I know Keith has a bunch more balance changes packed in to this one, but I do not have it in me to list them right now.
