I got to the 10th level, Satan's lair, but nothing showed up. I waited and waited, until I finally died of hunger. Is that a bug? Or was I suppose to do something to summon the Boss?
1.06 is nearing completion, and headlining the changes is the return of Quabbus, our ethnically ambiguous shopkeeper, from his foreign homeland. Accompanying Quabbus are a string of new items, as well as a modification system called multibranding. Now, items in the game have a chance to be modified multiple times, allowing for Armored Leather of Evasion, or Poisoned Magic Daggers of Health. The changes I've made to items over the last week will also make it much easier for us to add much more interesting items with rare or hidden effects, though I can't yet say exactly how much will make it in 1.06. You aren't the only one seeing this, but not everyone is seeing this. I personally can't get close to seeing him without debug settings that probably circumvent the issue, but I'm zeroing in on the cause and promise to have a fix in 1.06. I'd avoid reloading once you're in Satan's world, if possible. Other issues people have experienced with Weapon Focus and Vampiric weapons will also be resolved, and you can now pick up inventory items with a full inventory when the item can stack with something already in inventory / quick slots. There will probably also be some UI sugar. Though I don't have a firm date for our submission to Apple just yet (it largely depends at this point how long it takes to balance the shopkeeper and gold / new items), but I can say with confidence that this update will be out much sooner than 1.05
Update sounds nice... Please take your time for balancing. There is nothing worse than an ill balanced rogue like (well, maybe a constant crashing rogue like... but we are almost over that )
Update sounds awesome, a shop will push it further to being like Diablo. Also can't wait for the new classes, would love a sort of Thief / Ranger class....
the gameplay was already smooth, but after last update animation is again jerky. hope it will be optimized in next updates.
Would you mind telling me if yours is jailbroken? I've gotten one other report of jerky animation, which happened on a jailbroken device, but no complaints on non-jailbroken ones. None of the devices I use for testing are jailbroken, so I can't really catch issues with this.
Was jerky on my second gen in testing. But not on my iphone 4. the jerkiness actually made the game more playable (monsters appeared in the los properly) so I thought it was intentional.

I suck at this game; I rarely make it to the genie and I wrote the damn thing. There is a strategy guide which may help, graciously provided and meticulously maintained by NoDPad also available through the 100 Rogues website

I am! At first i had crashes and slow gameplay but after a restart of the ipod everything was fine! maybe this helps some of the other players who mentioned the same problems.
