I keep having crashes, shield or no shield. Still, good to hear we're getting a fix for at least one problem!

Yeah, sadly my first game ended with a crash not long after I'd picked up a shield (not equipped it though). Still, I'm not too bothered, sure it'll get sorted in a patch and I like what I've seen so far- lot of personality there, like the skill trees, obviously a lot of care and effort has been put into the game and I can tell I'm going to end up sinking a lot of time in this.
Loving the game, haven't had any crashing so far but I do want to offer some suggestions (of which I also posted in two comments on your dev blog): 1) Can you include the Sword of Fargoal style swipe to move control scheme? It's so much more convenient, especially when playing on an iPad. As it stands the game just feels a bit too stiff without it. 2) Don't close the inventory when you equip something. It's frustrating when you are trying to equip multiple items. 3) Speaking of which, please release an iPad version! :] 4) I also really want to see a stat comparison on inventory items vs equipped items. Great game so far! I've been looking forward to this one for a while so it's a big thrill to finally get my hands on it!
Shoot - didn't know the description "healer" really was a name for a shield. Had a good game going too and boom, crash.
If I'm not wrong, equipping an item uses a turn, so it closes the inventory to allow any enemies to make their move.
Woke up to see 100 Rogues released. Very excited. Then read through the thread to see everyone crashing. Excitment diminished. Buying anyway and fingers crossed that I can get a smooth run.
No I picked it up and looked at my inventory for a description of its properties and then noticed by the graphic and I think the description it was a shield. I thought perhaps it was the equipping part that crashed it but it crashed right then.
Besides the bugs, another thing I really don't like. If you continue a game, you are starting in a completely new randomly created dungeon. That's not, what I understand by continue... sometimes the situation is a lot worse compared to the one when I left the game. It just doesn't feel right. Isn't it possible to keep the level the same?
To be fair, I've probably only played about an hour or two of sword of fargoal, but I never got the hang of the control scheme. I like that dragging further makes you go faster, but I'm not sure it would work for 100 Rogues' mobs. In fargoal you generally only fight one thing at a time, and the approach isn't to critical. In 100 Rogues, one misstep will kill you, so precision was a high priority. I think we succeeded on that front, but we have brainstormed some ideas for autorun that may help with the sense of stiffness. I think someone already correctly posted that this is because equipping takes a game turn, and we want to make sure you see the effect of that turn. The possibilities are endless! Our development time is not XD. Someday, maybe. It'd be awesome to have, I agree, but if our artist can only spend 3 months, I'd rather see a dozen monsters, a new world and the third player class come out of it, no? ... That should exist now >_>
I never fully got on with the Fargoal control system either. The one here is simple, intuitive, and yes, most importantly precise. I wouldn't change a thing.
Oh bless! I wake up to it being released As for bug reporting; I'll will echo that it isn't just with shields that it crashes. Just combat generally. For instance, I was just hammering an evil rat with a scroll of unholy fire and <crash>. Also, normal bashing will do the trick. I also had an issue with the quick slots (3 throwing knives becoming 2 stacks after throwing and picking up, i.e. a 1 knife and a 2 knife stack). Something else weird happened associated with that but I will see if it was just my lack of coffee first. Anyways! Bought it regardless of crashes - it does look and sound so damn pretty Congrats Dinofarm!
I second this, especially since I just continued and I am now in a wall, cannot move. This is a great game Wes and I'm glad you're on top of fixes because the crashes are pretty rough. I had noticed a connection to shields but I'm pretty sure I am getting another crash too. Ive crashed several times just walking around. I imagine it could be failing to load some graphic or item or enemy Since it crashes before something appears, I dont get to be more specific than that. Performance is pretty poor on my 2g phone. I've rebooted it and cleared a bit more space, but not much help there. Lastly, I had a very strange issue after a crash. I decided to try out Challenge mode (so I had an active continue available but chose all 4 challenge options in turn) when I continued again, my Crusader had become a wizard and was promptly killed I love the style of the game though and cant wait till the bugs are fixed. I wish Apple's approval process had SOME QA involved though :/
A few starting games later, 1. Three times the paladin character crashes on the second floor -- when I was just fighting and once after I equiped a shield. 2. The fairy mage character which I played to the third floor and four level-ups had no crash problems at all before I died to a brown character that threw knifes at me. Suggestions: 1. Would be nice to have slide controls like that in Sword of Fargoal, because sometimes tapping on the enemy just completely misses it. Particularly bad, I suspect for people with big fingers. The quick slots are also a bit small. 2. I think some of us would like to be able to play our own music from the ipod. The game just shuts it off when it starts. Game is promising; it's my kind of game but the crash problems are devastating and does disappoint.
Same here, the bugs are too heavy and make it unplayable for me. Right now, it's wasted time, since this game can crash at any time.
sorry if this has already been established but, every once in a while my skill page will glitch up and make it so I can't level up a skill. If I level up this sometimes happens, and when I dont have any skill points I would randomly just get one and can't use it but if I level up I can't upgrade a skill regardless. Is anyone else getting this?!
