ARGH! Beyond all reason, beyond testing and retesting and sending the exact build to testers that went to Apple, name entry is missing from 1.03 still. Something about the distribution build (which, for the record, I have no means of testing on any device or simulator until it is live on the app store) is breaking this feature. I'll have my roommates throw some tomatoes at me when I get home.
The only suitable punishment I can think of is for you to legally change your name to Another Rogue. Can't wait to try out the new version!
Wes, personally i can wait for the "missing name entry fix". IMO i think the most important thing now is this new update up and running. As always, keep up the good work you're doing (and that you'll do).
Yup, there it is now! Glad the naysayers were wrong in this instance, though I kind of expected it as approval times have been all over the place lately. Something is stirring over at Apple HQ.
Guess this isn't as bad as it would be if leaderboards had been wiped, we still have that to look forward to. Is this just a matter of the fix being accidentally left out of the submitted build, or is something else going on that you guys weren't expecting (I'm not really understanding what happened)?

found a bug in the new version, it concerns stacking rocks(possibly anything). I have rocks in my quick-belt-item area, when i pick more rocks up off the ground instead of going either into my inventory or better into the quick-belt, all my rocks(including the ones i had before) disapear. Edit, another minor bug, the skill wepon focus gives me the message 'Your getting good with the sword'(or something like that), even when i am using magic and not the sword. But am holding the sword. So it seems to be registering all attacks, and not just the ones with the sword, which is kind of strange if it is meant to be like that.
1.03 Question So I updated to 1.03. I noticed in the update notes the following: Skeletons resurrect less frequently However, I am finding that not only do they seem to have the resurrect ability as often as they always have, they now always seem to resurrect one time *more* than they used to. Anyone else seeing this? Still loving this game though heh...
Hmmm I haven't tried picking up rocks yet, but the arrows and throwing knives seem fine. Maybe it's just the rocks. I just killed three or four straight skeletons, not one of them resurrecting, but there were instances when I fought those that resurrected four times, some thrice. But for the ones that did resurrect four times, I did not encounter in a repeated succession. I reached (and unfortunately died) in that level where ghosts, knights bone demons are, and I am pleased to say that the game was very stable. I'm loving it! Hope the name issue gets resolved soon!

I only got to check it with rocks, but that's promising to hear, maybe there was a problem updating. Ill redownload and check. I was really hoping this would be a stable update. EDIT, i redownloaded the game and it looks like the problem is gone. So it must have not updated properly.
definitely a bug with teleport spell sadly. Happened a couple times now, randomly when you cast teleport instead of sending you to your desired location, it will send you to another room in another part of the map.
This isn't a bug.. it is a design feature to balance out the cheap EP cost of teleporting. Annoying, yes, but adds that bit of risk to tele-stabbing
Uhg, 'features' like this annoy me. It feels like a bug, and really messes up the flow of the game forcing you to walk that much. They should just lower the chance of getting a crit, or raise the cost of teleport, or find another less obtrusive way to deal with the issue. Balancing should add fun and challange, not tedium.
To be fair, there should really be some message that appears when this happens, so people don't think it is a bug. Something like, "Woops! Your spell backfired." I have noticed that skeletons still resurrect at the max of 3 times, but it appears that their chance to resurrect is lower than before. A few issues I have already noticed: 1) I was farming potions off of the Golden Genie, and after finally defeating him, my game crashed when I was feasting upon my potions. 2) For some reason there are now noticeably long pauses between turns when you are fighting the genie's beetles. These were not there in 1.0.2. 3) With the crusader, sometimes his attack animation with the dagger and sword look like he is throwing the weapon (it appears to be floating 5-10 pixels away from the character). Is this supposed to happen? This happened in 1.0.2 also. 4) If you put your device into sleep, and then unlock it, the music (game music) will stop playing. If you do it again, it comes back. This was also in 1.0.2.
