    New bugs.

    SIGH

3 times i used unholy flares and nothing happens. i die.

i clicked on the scoreboard on accident then created a new game. the words never went away and i had to stare at them for the entire game... wtf?

and my favorite. when i click new game.. and click normal mode after i select the paladin. i get a black screen. forever.

in fact sometimes when i click the paladin and new game the game just crashes but 99 percent of the time its just a black screen. i dunno if this is just an Ipad bug or what.

Just wanted to try to counteract the negativity a bit. Sure the game has some bugs, but I'm not running into any crashing at all. In fact I haven't had any crashing since the 1.01 update. There are a few cosmetic things that could be fixed, but as far as I run into not a whole lot of game breaking things. Honestly the big thing that's killing me now is not being able to rename my character. I only use the one name anyways, but I don't want to be one of a thousand "Another Rogue"s on the leader board. Rest assured the devs are hard at work fixing things as we speak.

tl;dr - Game is good, I like it, and it was worth my money. No crashes here!

    Thanks for the tip!
Also I know there's a lot going on with bug fixes and stuff but I'm really curious about the two other classes. What will they be like?

I also have not had a single crash since launch when not using a shield. With shield crashed twice in the same game and I have not tried using shield since. That was pre latest update.

This is an arcade rogue like.... name one of those that has come before this one. If you fail to see how this has brought anything new to the genre than you are missing the simplicity of the game.

In my opinion it's admirable that they have the courage to try to make something new and different, even though the task may seem daunting. They need encouragement, not discouragement :)

So, have you played the game yet?

I've deleted the game from my device.
Even if this is an excellent game and the release was too early because of financial issues, I am a customer in the first place and I have the right to get a product I can enjoy nearly bug free.
Small bugs were never a problem for me, but this is not acceptable for now.
I'll wait another month for the updates, but if the biggest bugs aren't fixed then, I'm very sorry, but will have to refund the app.

I hope you understand this and I think you would act the same way.

I still haven't bought the game and, based on the recent feedback, I'm not going to.
I think it's such a shame that a game with so much promise is essentially broken because it was released when it shouldn't have. It may be because some things weren't picked up or errors were made but there really isn't any excuse for not actually playing through the finished code to see if it works. How would you expect customers to feel if they bought a car that died every 50 miles or needed filling up with fuel every hour because of a leak??
In my opinion this app should be pulled until it is fixed. Bad press and word of mouth is near-impossible to recover from. You see all those negative reviews on itunes.... people pay attention to those!

you should also pay attention to the reviews on here...the majority on here are loving it or at least liking it. Alot of reviews on iTunes are BS, not just for this game but for alot of games. I have been playing this on a 3gs and since the 1.0.2 update, I haven't had a crash while playing the game as it should be played.

    Well, I love it, too.
But the game continues to crash on my device and now some new bugs appeared.

To be honest, the release was a desperate but not fair move for the customers. And the things bluewomble88 wrote were exactly my thoughts.

I'm with Vovin in this one.

This game has lots of potential, but sadly that's it, potential. When I got this I though it was gonna be the next best thing, not the next Minigore thing. Although I think I was hoping too much, as the expectations were so high I though this could reach the goodness tha nethack is, and well, with revamped graphics and gameplay that would've been perfect, but it doesnt seem like this will be like that any time soon. I do hope the devs pick up the pace, or else this will be one of those forgotten games of which the AppStore has many :(

(And yes I am hoping, not for my money, but for the devs and the potential that this game has, that this game rises up to the top in both quality and ranking. I shall not delete it as I'll be on the lookout for the real, non bug fixing updates).

    I share these feelings, sadly.
I don't wanna harm the devs, but when I think about starting 100 Rogues again, I am repelled because of all this crashing trouble the app made so far.
The bugs seriously spoiled my fun.

Once again your analogy is off. You didn't mention the 24/7 repair service with slow vehicles. And if I'm right, you actually aren't customer at this point, so where do you get your experiences from?

In my opinion people should at least try the game before giving such advice. If you base your opinions solely on other people opinions, when are you going to start think on your own?

It's pity that big companies who release buggy and unfinished MMO's can't feel kicks from unsatisfied customers, whereas small indie-companies are easy targets to those having this wierd urge to bring people down.

I bought it on day 1, tried it a bunch of times with the updates and I am disappointed and sad because I like to love and play the game but the bugs still spoil the fun.
Bluewomble isn't wrong. Everyone has to do his work correctly. Every customer wants a product of some quality. I demand quality when buying food, clothes, electronic devices or other things - why shouldn't that count for software?

Releasing a game in the state 100 Rogues was first doesn't need other people to bring it down.
    It kills itself.

Of course customers should demand quality products. Bluewomble isn't a customer, though.

I just found a normal chainmail with 12 armor, and replaced my Leather with it. After that my armor number is off by -3, no matter which armor I'm wearing. With robes it's down to -3. My belly was down to 16 and I had a while ago upped my hp with two red potions. Filling my stomach didn't help. Playing fairy.

Also something peculiar happened with a stack of stones. At first I found 11 stones and then 12 stones. They stacked nicely, but when I started to pick them up after throwing, they formed their own stack. I combined stacks with removing both of them from my shortcut-bar and then put them back, which worked. Then I threw few more stones, maybe three (can't quite remember) and suddenly I didn't have any stones at all.

In other came I had five stones. I threw two of them and picked them up. They formed their own pile. After a few steps they disappeared from the shortcut-bar, never to be seen again.

To devs or TA: You might want to update thread to 1.0.2 is out, still at 1.0.1.

To the rest: How's 1.0.2? Still need work? To clarify I am not willing to deal with any bugs at all. I will gladly buy this game full price once the bugs are gone though.

An honest appraisal is: it is much stabler and playable, but some bugs persist. If you are feeling in a fairly forgiving mood, sure, go for it! Otherwise, another update is apparently in the pipes for a submission this week (don't quote me:D). Hope this will stamp out most of the remaining impediments for unhesitating recommendation.

Conclusion: Maybe ask again in a week or so?
