Incoming personal opinion! D-pads belong on a controller not a touch screen so with out it we can see more of the game. also why is the current control system not ideal it fits with the Idevices much better.
I think the current scheme works, it's almost a d-pad already. Your character is the center of the pad and there are buttons on all four sides. If you don't want your finger in the middle of the screen, touch the sides instead.
Hehe, I had the D-pad argument and lost a LONG time ago! It turned out to be relatively easy to implement an on screen pad that combined the best features of the standard touch interaction along with good old thumb-stick type action. In Rogue Touch this was highly welcomed, despite the fact that auto-run and auto-hallway following made it so you didn't have to block the screen very much while playing. Likely the D-pad desires come from younger people who are used to texting with a single thumb and holding their device in the same hand. Coincidentally that's probably one of the largest groups of iPod Touch owners out there
Please approve the update soon Apple! I can't stop playing... and it won't stop crashing and restarting me. It's kinda masochistic. Please end the pain. kthx.
yeah ive had a lot of crashes also, Some where I start in walls, il try restarting though. Good game though, even with all the crashes
Did the dev mention HOW they were sending in the update? Devs can let apple know that they are submitting an update to fix serious crashing and get the update fast tracked for approval
I suspect they went the standard update route. Apple has been known to grant "expedited review" for critical bug-fixes if they are alerted to that fact. However, I believe its a ONE TIME *EVER* offer, to prevent it being taken advantage of. Otherwise people would surely abuse it. My thought is the current update in review may solve a portion of the issues for some people, but Dinofarm might want to save the fast-track option for the update that gets submitted AFTER this one. Assuming that they get a good handle on memory consumption in the second update, that will be the one that pleases most of the rogues here.
We are definitely going to optimize our bugs-per-development-man-hour ratio to get the biggest fixes to you as soon as possible. The one in review now will be substantially more stabler. More stabler goodly, I'd say. It might not be until 1.02 that we're awesomely more stabler, it depends how quickly I can implement CommanderData's advice.
is allready an update submitted to apple or not? im tired to look every 1-2 hours in itunes and check for the update =) thx
They don't call him *COMMANDER* Data for nothing! He can help you makez more better codies! See --> 0i325ijfrijfi I just tried making a code and it's no good.
And now that I've had time to have a good read of the thread, I'd like to agree with what many others have said with regards to CommanderData's assistance. Good on you. You have a lifelong customer here based on your admirable attitude (and the fact that you obviously know how to make games I can't imagine seeing such cameraderie in more mainstream development. Respect is due.
