Not a darn thing! Same goes for the product requests for IAPs not crashing the game when you don't have internet / can't connect on an iPad. Both seem to have just started working. CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT.
Game Impressions Tourist question... Am I not able to throw rocks at a confused guide because it would be in poor taste (I mean he is taking time out to help me) or is it a glitch?
Requirements elicitation defect, maybe. Should you be able to target a confused monster? Hmm. We went through a lot of different possibilities when implementing the Crystal Balls, but there's roughly a concept of 'teams' in the game. Confused monsters are switched to your team. Familiars are spawned on your team. You can't hit anything on your team, and there's no chance for a misfired ranged attack to hit someone on your team. I'll look over the requirements we've got, and see if I can do something more sensible like make monsters become unconfused if you hit them, possibly. We may very well just keep things as they are, though.
... Has anyone noticed and / or used the sticky and durability mechanics that were added in in 2.8? I kind of silently dropped them in there. I'm curious to know what you all think, but since I was expecting cries of outrage I wanted to let you all come to me. But almost a month later no one's mentioned it.
I didn't notice them at all, but now I'll look out for them. I'm still looking for that magical ability that allows me to win the game once and a while... I'm thinking along the lines of the Crusader tearing off his armor and turning into He-Man or something... You'd have to change the music a tad though, and the end-boss would be Skeletor instead of Satan. Maybe this mode could be accessed by using "Prince Adam" as your name.
HAR HAR I GET TO BE CLEVER NOW. There actually is a cheat built into the iOS version that has some Eternien flavouring. The profile name to activate it is what He-Man might yell, if he were a lolcat. (note: capitalisation / punctuation sensitive, and you will know you've got it right if you're able to enter it at all, since it's longer than the normally allowable profile name length). It'll put some fun items in your inventory, but it's been so long since I've used it that I can't guarantee they still work. Also, use of the cheat disables high scores (not that it's a giant leg-up with score, but you know, better safe than sorry)
Maybe it is more along the line of, "By the Power of Ceiling Cat!" (not that I tried but that is the first thing I thought of by the clue).
I suppose I'll need to think up a more clever one next time around, lest the game be tarnished by easiness.
I've tried all caps no caps, different spellings, mixed with variations of: i can haz power can i haz power i haz teh power by teh power of teh power, i haz it LOL: ... (remembering how the Hell beta was accessed) Anyone else notice that the default name is longer than the 12-character limit? Either way, gave up trying, back at playing combo mode for a while.
Aww, Drelbs! You were so close! Yep, we do allow profile names longer than the max for Another Rogue and this cheat. So, each of the last 4 characters you type in can only be typed in if all the characters you've entered so far are correct. Should be easy now, yes?
Rogue? No, it works with all of the Rogues and game modes (except challenge). You just need to enter the right profile name.
