We have gotten 1 e-mail already saying someone had to wait for their iPhone to connect to the App Store before Combo Mode shows up, even after they purchased the mode. If so, that is a bug and, well,< manly gruff voice> you know what happens to bugs.< /manly gruff voice>

Ok, on both my ipod and ipad I got to Satan and just got bowled over by him. He's a bad mother. Had so much fun though I bought the scoundrel and dl'ed the tourist. Not sure I will use the tourist much. He is rather easy to die. The scoundrel I am enjoying though. Very satisfying jumping over an enemy and backstabbing them.

Tourist was definitely designed with meta-gamers in mind. Dungeon Diving is a common roguelike style of play, wherein any risky combat is avoided, and you generally shoot straight for the stairs, as quick as you can. He'll play very, VERY differently between normal and Endless modes, in particular, just because boss fights are omitted and he actually can avoid combat altogether.

I'll give him another go once I complete the game once. I'm obsessed with beating Satan down!

Wow, the app store distorts all sense of time, I feel like I've had 100 Rogues on my iPhone for way longer than a year. Congrats guys.

what a year. 100 rogues has been with me the whole way. thanks for the awesome game. i am honestly glad the IAPs have given me a way to support what must have been a crazy year for the Dinofarm team.

sigh, what times were had lurking your beta forums.

Seconding this! I have never regretted my purchase, and I definitely haven't regretted paying a few extra bucks to support you guys. I'd pay double if I could. I love this game :)

p.s.: have you thought about a "donation" IAP, like Raptisoft does? :)

It has been a rocky year to be sure as, with all of the new cool additions there have been some pretty nasty bugs in the game's history. That being said I give you guys an "A" for effort and your very pro-active support of the game.

I actually enjoy your recent "turn to the darkside (introduction of IAPs)"! This way fixes can keep on coming and remain free as well as a little additional content, but at the same time, just for those interested, some additional premium content is up for grabs as well. I like how in this case, unlike most other IAPs in games, these new characters and modes don't give you a leg up or shortcut to success in the main game but are simply new ways to play the game (i.e. not a way to buy a better ranking in GC leaderbaords).

I just finished a Skellyman run. Epic battle against Satan. I used the leap skill on the bats to build up the backstab counter and hit Satan with revenge stabs. Its everything the old concept video promised.

I have found one problem. If I try to start a new game too quickly the app will freeze and require 2 restarts to fix. I think this happens if you select difficulty/class while the app is searching for the dlc modes.
Anyone who hasn't bought the dlc modes yet, try selecting your difficulty and class quickly and see if it happens to you. Its not gamebreaking, but kind if annoying that you have to wait a bit when starting a new game.
EDIT2: it generally seems to happen only if you aren't connected to wifi.
Also, if you quit to the main menu and then start a new game the overwrite message doesn't go away. Really minor things, overall I love that the game's so stable now.

Thats exactly what I did last night. Finished Satan for the first time with these exact tactics lol. My final score was 33k, I'm not sure how that compares to others but I was playing on easy and I think I'm going to stick with easy until i beat satan with all characters.

Anyone know the high priced items in combo mode that you can buy to use in the main game? Do they stay forever in the main game, like you get the item each time you start a new game, or is it a one time use thing then go back and unlock it again? If you have to do that, that's... crazy.

They're permanently unlocked in your starting inventory, as long as you don't delete the App.

So any tips on getting 160k points in Combo? Seems extremely hard.

There's still something of an upward experience curve towards end-game. Hell 1 and 2 should get you the bulk of the points you need for them. Just make sure to buy everything you need in the lead before Hell 3, because there is no last chance to purchase them after the game.

I'm really freaking ticked off now. I bought the 160k combo energy scroll for main game... Finished the combo run and start up a main game. I look in inventory and no damn scroll.... FORGOT to use THE STUPID scroll IN COMBO MODE!!! I thought it automatically went to the main game without having to activate it in combo mode from inventory.... Ugh, not in the mood to go do combo again to unlock.

just had this too. my problem was that my inventory was full, so even when i bought the scroll inbetween levels, it never showed. love this idea and the game mode, but needs a fix for the rewards. tanks!:D
