There are some esoteric nuances to the items received from pickpocketing, sometimes it's predictable, sometimes it's not, but discovery's half the fun, so I won't spoil things for you
Already been done: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=1494087&postcount=2305 I know the thread is over 200 pages, but you could at least scan over the most recent ones before posting.
Seriously.... this entire forum has a lot of useless post . After taking the time to scan through 7 pages of fan boy fighting in another thread and not see not one comment on the actual game itself, I think its alright if a double post get put up in this one with a fix for the problem.
Woo... well, I finally made it to Satan last night. I got a lot of good hits on him, but wasn't able to deal the final blow before running out of health items. It was an awesome run. It didn't start off that well with drops, but eventually I found the Griffon Slayer and was able to stay alive long enough to get it to level 3 (can weapons go higher than that?). I also got some sweet armor drops, such as +2 plate, which was awesome once I finally got heavy armaments. I also got a Phoenix Down robe, but it didn't seem to help in the one place I tried to use it -- vs those beam-shooting heads. Is that not magic damage? Anyway, here's the part where I am stupid. I *started* this game after my wife fell asleep. I have not been feeling well and needed the rest, but instead of going to sleep at 11, I was up past 1:00. And what's worse, I spent the WHOLE EFFING NIGHT with 100 Rogues playing on a screen behind my eyelids. I'm sure this has happened to some of you guys before (i've had it before with things like Tetris). Anyway, I was already not going to get much sleep, but right now it feels like I didn't actually sleep at all, and I hardly want to look at my iPhone, much less play this game again. I'm sure it'll wear off soon enough. Of course, we should discuss some of the gameplay innovations my addled brain came up with, such as controlling multiple rogues at once! I also remember that a few times in my dream, I should have died, but somehow glitched out of it and was able to continue. I did see some weird bugs in real life yesterday -- one game I got separated from my shadow by 3 squares, and in another, I contracted some weird perma-poison that took 1hp from me forever until I just died. Uh, anyway. I'm exhausted. But great game guys
2.4 just got submitted to Apple, which doesn't add much, unfortunately, but the goal was to get the scoundrel's stuff working in its entirety as quick as possible. Even if I could have added a new bell or whistle, the risk / time just didn't justify it. Changes! Smoke Bombs / Thrown energy potions / Hand Grenades now function as intended again Items on the ground near the genie when he dies / drops loot no longer inherit the stack count of the gold meant to be dropped at those locations Price now shows when viewing shop item tooltips with a full inventory
Hey guys, I unfortunately only have version 2.1 - I was about to update to 2.3 so I can buy the new rogue who looks blady amazing Very cool, not what I was expecting at all I honestly love this game, I am awful at it (I wont lie lol), but I really enjoy playing it and would like to play with the new character. My question is - is it possible to somehow get version 2.2 ? Should I upgrade to 2.3 or rather wait for 2.4 ? I know you guys have a lot of exp with the game, especially those who have been following this thread since the beginning, Im sure you had a vital role in making this game so much fun and to the devs thanks guys , and any assistance would help
I suppose it's more of a gameplay choice, but any chances we might be able to sell items at the shop in a future update?
Anyone knows what Strength effects in the game? And where can I send feedback on the game with things I want to see added to the game?
Strength most directly affects damage dealt through physical attacks, either with melee weapons or bows. Certain skills also benefit from it (e.g. most of the Scoundrel's skills are augments to melee / ranged attacks, and receive the same benefits from strength as her basic attacks.
Cool to have the developer in the forum! Any chance to be able to sell items in the shop? Also, I have a bug that sometimes items in the shop won't show their price. Great game, I'm addicted!
Price bug has been fixed in the latest update. Why we feel the ability to sell items is not in the best interests of the player: 1. Performing a perfect run requires a boring, grindy distraction from combat in the form of carting items back to the shop, and it is our goal to only allow perfect (or very near perfect) runs to be successful runs. 2. Any advantages to selling are ostensible only, as we would immediately raise prices and reduce the incidence of rare items to compensate for player's additional buying power. Glad to hear you're enjoying the game!
How about a "recycle" option, anything you don't want you can give to the shop-keep for 1 gold, as a way to get rid of items while buying them. The small amount of gold wouldn't give the incentive to grind, but would give a better alternative to getting rid of useless loot by simply tossing, and would probably satisfy a lot of peoples requests to "sell" things in game. It would also bring back the nostalgic joys of being a kid, and saving up pop bottles, to get nickels, to buy cheap candy from the corner store. Actually if you are totally against giving any money, you could down the update road create a meta-shop, where items/loot sold to the shop keep give you "credits" that are useless in-game, but could be used to buy extras, or cosmetic items. This would actually probably satisfy players even more, and boost popularity/replay--see mega jump or minigore. And I redownloaded this game with the latest update, after a temper tantrum/delete a while back, and am surprised/happy with how it is coming along.
We have brainstormed a few ideas to give players more options for their "useless" items, as well as ways to earn, rather than stumble upon / trade for, more gold. These are taking a brief backseat to some more stability / performance improvements, as well as improving some infrastructures to support future development for a bit. It's hard to say when such features might make it in, but we're trying to keep handing out new things to play with from time to time, alongside these secondary (albethem very important) improvements (2.3's fairly massive framerate boost on older devices / battery life improvements on all devices are an example).
Ya, there are a couple of reviews on there that are by people who are obviously ignorant over entitled gamers. Even with the bug issues a lot of people still like it.
I started playing rogue games with Roguetouch, then Fargoal and I like that games and played ocasionally but the last month that I have 100 Rogues I play every week and love it. Now with a recent update that allows iPod music I play the game even more. Sure it´s not a game for everyone but if you like a rpg´s and exploring random dungeons you will like it. I can only say that is a very very good and addicting game but you have to like it for what it is
