There is *an* achievement sync that runs when the App is started or enters the foreground if a profile has changed. Apparently, it's just a broken sync. I strongly suspect it has something to do with adding the Dark P- ...

    the second Boss achievement.

I'm against having a 'sync' button for it, because if it wasn't handled just right it could end up letting people unlock achievements on other accounts accidentally very easily, and that's a hard mistake to come back from.

    Skellyman update...

Was the Skellyman update already submitted? I think a couPle of pages back on of the developers mentioned that it would be submitted in 2 days or so. If so, when was it submitted?

I was playing as the fairy in the dungeon 2 boss stage and used teleport to stop being surrounded by skeletons. The game did a mis-teleport and transported me outside the room. When I tried to re-enter I couldn't get past the locker as there was some invisible barrier. I realised that game had ended for me and my fairy would probably starve to death before getting lucky with another mis-port back into the boss room.

So here's what I did to resolve the situation. I went on iTunes and rated your game 2 stars. I can't believe the press touch arcade is giving such a buggy mess. I've already been bitten once by Rimelands.

Sweet I just beat Satan with a crusader, a +6 Gryphon Slayer and +4 plate mail of health made this my easiest game yet... After sooo many characters made i finally beat satan twice in back to back games, feels good.

to anyone who hasn't beaten it yet, stick with it, its worth it

wow, you ran into a bug so you rated the game 2 stars? to me that sounds like a childish reaction. it's just software man, bugs will happen. you know as well as everyone who has played this game that it isn't a 2 star rating. that's messed up.

Giving it 2 stars is a malicious abuse of customer rights..

It is well within your rights to give it 2 stars..but to do so and to post here righteously and gleefully claiming that "This is how you resolved the situation"...is just really spiteful ...especially when you know the developer is busy churning out an update. Almost everyone on this thread loves this game and respects the diligence of the developer .. so don't expect a warm response to your post.

I've been having a lot of fun with the game. Haven't updated yet, but am anticipate it. :)

I love the fact that you start the game with an energy potion after completing ten challenges. I really, really like that kind of thing. Incentives like those, which carry through to every subsequent rogue's (short) life, provide a lot of re-playability for me. Sometimes, a highscore isn't enough to keep a player coming back for more.

Little unlockables like these give me a reason to play, even when I'm not in it for the long haul. Unlocks become goals in themselves. Letting the player decide whether or not to pursue those goals is great. Extra potions and the like don't quite unbalance gameplay for those who have not unlocked them, but provide enough of a reward to keep a player like me interested.

I would LOVE to see more of this stuff in future releases!

AFA other criticism goes, I'm a fan of the artwork, but find the dungeon artwork a bit unpleasing. The rotated corners screw with the perspective... its just probably the least pleasing part of the game, in my opinion (I haven't encountered any bugs). Granted, I'm sure this might be quite a bit of work, but "fixing" these graphics would make the game a LOT prettier, IMO.

GL team and keep up the great job :D

We do want unlockables, but we're just careful to not add too many so as to give the "fully unlocked" character too much of an advantage over the normal character.

    +6 Gryphon Slayer eh? Yikes.

Anyone else beat the game? Blake Reynolds, our lead artist, wrote the end game cutscene music, it's one of my favorites!

Yes, three or four times with the Fairy that I play almost exclusively.. With good ol' Wand and Robes (and slaying 154 Satan's Bodyguards in the last game @ Hell 3 :D) ... Music is great!

When I started playing this game I only chose the crusader... and I felt like winning when reaching Satan - beating him was not an option ;)

I'm beginning to see where the problems are occurring with Game Center and yeah, very annoying.

For the next update (*after* skellyman, slated sometime in January, by very very rough estimation) , I'll have more buttons in the Badges to do things like reset local achievements and synchronize a Game Center profile with the set of local achievements.

These buttons will be protected with at least one layer of prompts making sure you know what you're doing.

How do you all feel about a Log In button? Right now I believe the game simply prompts at start-up and whenever the game returns from the background, if no player is logged in. Would a proper log in / log out button be something you'd want?

I'd love a log in button definitely.

I LOVE GC achievements. I crave for them. But seriously the way it's implemented in many games is not very good. Unlocking achievements causes the game to Freeze and Lag at various points (not for 100 rogues though). That's why I would definitely welcome a sync button... I'd just keep GC offline until I've collected a few achievements, then turn it on and sync!

Gee, I wish every game would be like that, save us all the trouble of those random achievements not unlocking.

That was practically trivial to avoid. Either I don't understand the dangers of asynchronous programming or the developers of games you're referring to don't understand its benefits.

Given the likelihood of those options, I'll double-check my math.

There are unlockables for doing the challenges? I suppose I should do them then. I probably should anyway because every single game I get to the first or second Dungeon level and I die. :)

I hate to say it, but I still have yet to reach Satan myself with the Crusader. Anyone else finding him impossible to defeat as the Crusader? We'd definitely like that to not be the case, so let us know. =]

Well I've played about 15 crusaders, only one ever got to him and he didn't make it.

It was pretty impossible to me, but seeing as only ONE of me made it there it could be I'm just lousy at the game.

And I refuse to use the other class until I defeat satan with crusader. But not that even you couldn't make it, maybe I should rethink my options :D

Well, to be honest I don't get to just *play* as much as probably a lot of our players, sadly. a good 80% of my games result in me seeing some balance thing or graphical thing that needs fixing, and then I restart to test it out.

So don't lose heart - you're a very good player if you're getting to Satan at all.

I would think the best things to use against him would be Whack of Glory and possibly Holy Fires if you can get some V.Bats to hang out. And of course just a +3 axe.

Satan should have somewhere around 666 HP. You can do it!

Playing Crusader I came across my first Griffonslayer in a very long time... picked up plate mail and a tower, +4, +1 respectively. I was *rolling* through level after level... only the horrible clowns on balls were giving me problems ( though even these were minor )... Hop into Hell 3 and suddenly I am in a room with 5 "Satan's Bodyguards"... door on the far side of the room... I was completely destroyed before getting half way there... Was it bad luck or is it always like this? If the latter, can we tone it down a bit :) I don't know how Satan keeps all those bodyguards from rebelling and taking over.
