Hmmm any players here can advise on the goodness of those double handed weapons? Damage isn't spectacular for the trade off of a shield, it's only slightly better than a one handed weapon lol. Any hidden bonuses? My fav is tower shield with cd griffin! xD Btw wes some glitch regarding griffin stats. Try to view the griffin slayer weapon in a shop and you'll see what I mean.
It was actually the dumb baby. But I was in a room with a blue knight and some ghostly-looking version of the female mage. What really killed me was that huge room before. I kept exploring for treasure (and found it), but kept running into baby/zombie mobs. Then, once I started to run away, I encountered skeleton/necro mobs and I used every potion, scroll, and teleport I had just to get the hell out.
Lol I assume you're using crusader? I used to love crusader and found it very easy to use, but since updates that made all these huge rooms haven't really tried it. The fairy shines in these sorta situations. Just teleport beyond a wall and wait a bit and try again. Inthink a crusader requires much more thinking now cuz there's just so much ground to cover, he's melée, and his aoe is not as good as the fairy.
For some reason I can't write a post on 100 Rogues official forum using my iPhone, so I'm writing this here. I've finally pinpoint this sucker UI Movement bug: When you click on an item in quick-hotkey bar, below the exp bar, the item's submenu shows up (with "Equip", "Throw" ...). If you (mis)click on the description text (instead of button for "Equip" or other) your character starts moving up until it hits a wall or goes to another level. I'm using 3GS, 4.2 iOS and game version 2.1. This bug was present since 1.9
I'm not a developer for 100 Rogues, but I am a programmer, and I can tell you it's awesome when a user can nail down steps-to-repeat as well as this! Edit: not looking for help are you guys? Edit2: I'm on iPhone 4 and cannot replicate exactly. If my guy has a space to move north, the above-described action does this (strange, I'd expect down if anything since I'm clicking below him). The facing of my character does not seem to matter. 7h30n, does it happen for you with any facing / quick-access item?
ive had the movement issue before, i thought it was caused by bringing up the menu as your character is in between moving square to square. havent tried it on the new version tho. i cannot believe all of the negative comments for such a great, polished game...
I ran into this same bug. Perhaps only when continuing a game that was running before the update? I don't know, but it was pretty disheartening. I hope it's not something that will happen again. It sucks to have to start over due to a crashing bug you can't get around. My next game, after starting over, played fine. I died in the Dungeon (again) and started another and so far so good with that one, but I haven't gotten to the genie yet.
Negative comments? I think you got most of us wrong. We like this game and so we're reporting bugs. If we didn't like this game and don't intend to play anymore we wouldn't bother would we? I think if a customer comes back and reports bugs it shows he is still interested and has not written it off and it's a chance for the dev go reengage with the customer
So that's what happened! Glad to know you guys are on top of it. This game is becoming one of my favourite app, but it's a bit of a bumpy road. Still, developer is here and listening, updates are rolling in, Rome wasn't built in a day! My observation is that most people are more concerned about bugs than new content, hopefully we are getting both. Thanks for a great game.
A couple things, 1. I love this game, and have not seemed to encounter any bugs, knock on wood. 2. How do I beat Challenge mode 7. Back, Beasts. 3. Is the 2 extra spots on the character selection screen with question marks for a future update, or can you acquire them some other way?
2. Go up knock rat back, hope top and west ray are now next adjecent to rag other, throw mana potion, boom, finish the one survivor off, knock bottom ray finish him off. It takes a lot of tries bit basically u gotta try to throw bomb the top and west rat at the same time. If you hammered one, that one should die immediately after the bomb blast. 3. Coming in future updates apparently
Quick question on the last lvl of hell before satan....is the limitless and endless spawning ranged mobs working as intended? If so what is the point? Made it utterly miserable and painful to spend half an hour frozen between steps of endless range animation
It is working as intended. As for your other question, I actually don't know Keith's reasoning on that one, but he'd be the one to ask.
Well, it is working as intended, functionality wise, but the animations do make it take a really long time. I'll make sure to do something about this for the Skellyman update which comes this month.
I'm a programmer myself. Hi-5! I believe it happens with every item and it always moves the character up (although you technically press below him) unless there is an obstruction above the character. I hope my post will help developers in fixing this fairly annoying bug. @devs Keep up the goodwork! This game is one of the best on AppStore!
I did it... finally killed that bastard. I used the fairy, and also had 2 books in the storage locker so i had all the skills, not to mention literally the most loot I've ever seen dropped in one game. Still Fairy blessing is ultimately the only reason I was able to beat him. Now i have a game going with a crusader who has a +4 Gryphon slayer before getting out of the dungeon. I expect to do pretty well this run too *knocks on wood with crossed fingers while throwing salt over my shoulders*
Two questions: 1. My achievements in 100R do not completely sync with Game Center. Bug? 2. I just did a good game with the fairy (score of 750k+) and it shows up twice in the online leaderboards (second AND third place ATM)?! What's going on there? Some obervations (rant?): The Fairy is very much fun to play. Once you develop some good strategy on which skills to choose and how to deal with specific enemies, it becomes a ton of fun. I think, you are more self reliant than with the crusader as you are not really dependent on the items in the chests. I usually start with the Wand and Robe and end the game with exactly the same items, never to user daggers, swords, armors, bows, darts etc. Other strategies may require those items, though... so this is probably specific to my approach to the Fairy (and sure, some meat, potions, spellbooks are nice too )! And I think, a funny thing is that difficulty actually decreases when progessing IMO. For me, Bandit Hole 3 and Dungeon 1-2 are the most critical stages when playing the fairy. When finally arriving at Hell, I usually have enough skills to deal with every enemy that comes up... To exemplify, I just killed 154 Satan's Bodyguards in my last game (but they can be a real pain when showing up in large groups of more than three). To end this, GREAT GAME! I am really looking forward to the new class!
Yeah, mine doesn't sync completely either, I have more than 10 deaths in scoreboards but the count is only at 7% or something. I asked for an achievement sync before but was rejected. Author didn't want the achievements to go into other GC accounts on shared devices.
