new App icon? That'll be interesting I actually like the old one. It catches attention - even when in folders (as opposed to all the other app icons that are simply to colorful and unsettled). But in the end, I couldn't care less... the game is running good, the content is rich, almost no (game breaking) bugs. good work guys, after all!
More like Keith refined the old one. No big big changes to it, don't worry. @eev: Yep, that was tested thoroughly, and fixed in fight 2. You can put the device to sleep, kill spawned monsters, start the fight, kill the boss and save / load any number of times, and you can do them in any order, and Teleport will only ever put you square in the middle of the blocked off section of the main room, with either unlocked doors or a way to unlock them (namely killing the still-living boss). Honestly, the code shouldn't have been so sensitive to all of these cases. I suspect at some point in the next three months I'll be rewriting all three from scratch. But we'll have to see.
great, thanks. i dont know if there are some code optimizations or just new iphone, but animation and movement are faster in the last version, and that's good.
I'm glad the main tune (Bandit Hole 1) is just gonna get better and not replaced I finally reached Satan.. and died in front of him. Must be my fault for not exploring HELL 3 completely with catchy music. Many dual wielding rogues and that firedropping demon scared the HELL out of me. Plus the exit was just next to the entrance O_O
Hmm I noticed the Bandcamp page has a different version of Bandit Hole. Has it always been this version on bandcamp? And is this the new one that's gonna be in 2.1?
Bug @ Genie So, just did a game and it was ended by a game breaking bug Well, it's 100 Rogues after all So, I was at the Genie level and needed to quit. I did not enter the fight before quitting. When I resumed, I went to the Genie but the beatles were invisible and I couldn't hurt them (the attack aninmation was shown but no damage numbers and they did not die). But they could hurt me. So I was surrounded by three of them... Taking four attacks per round was too much to deal with eventually. Sad thing!
The 2.1 update has been submitted that will take care of that and do a bunch of other really cool stuff I listed on the previous page. I tested / debugged boss fights for about 30 hours over the two days leading up to that release, so I'm fairly confident that you won't be seeing any more issues with them.
Yesterday, I decided to give the fairy a try.... Unbeliveable, yes, but I never ever tried the Fairy before I really loved it! I did not know which skills are good or what they exactly do but it was great fun. I used a lot of teleporting and I think the game took longer that with the Crusader (as I retreated more often). I was really lucky with items (two spellbook, lots of Scrolls of Holy Fire etc.) and managed to go to Satan on this first try with the Fairy (but I died there ). BTW, Hell 3 is a beast I think. I had no real strategy and basically avoided fighting, so I missed lots of experience points there. Still, with a score of almost 140k this was one of my best games so far! So, I think the next try will be with the fairy as well
'Waiting for Review'. This is the first time since 1.08, I think, that we didn't go into review withing hours. Maybe this means that, like 1.07 and before, we'll go from 'In Review' to released in 4-5 hours. Maybe it also means that Apple is getting even busier with the holidays coming up.
Yes, and it went to 'In Review' within hours. This isn't boding well. The deadline for the new class isn't slipping though, meaning if this one isn't out and we finish her, we reject this submission and resubmit the newest version.
I am a true newb. This afternoon I finally beat the 1st boss after 2 prior attempts. I'm not 100% sure I like the boss concept in this game (I mean, having them). After only my first 2 attempts I was almost ready to throw in the towel because it seemed impossible to beat the boss. Glad I persisted, but I have to say, why does the damage meter for the boss go from nearly nothing to full damage/win in one shot? I think that right there is why I was close to throwing in the towel on this game.
damage meter? I've never seen something like that in this game. If you are referring to the green line at the bottom, that is your meter of experience points for the next level up.
I think he meant health meter. As I remember the genie regains his health when he goes inside his bottle? Then if you break the bottle, he can't regen?
first boss is a cakewalk. plus you get at least one roast, one blue and red potion. now the second boss... game is great tho!! can't wait for the third character!!!
