Thanks - I took MNPKLT4LK6RN. I'll review on iTunes (UK) and post impressions here (or in the main game thread if there's one available).
Ok, I'll look into that and see what I can do. I don't have a 4th Gen, but I'm planning on making it run faster so hopefully that should fix it. Thanks GreenSquid
Ok, I tried it, didn't like it. The track is a flat, straight, unremarkable road with occasional holes in it. Viewpoint is follow-cam. Character responds to tilting like a greased bowling ball. Frame rate is all over the place. Deaths occur by sliding off the edge, often for no discernible reason. Not good. Sorry you blew a promo code on me and I didn't like your game, but at least I've taken the time to come back here and post impressions rather than just delete it and move on with my life. Which I really should have done. On the plus side, I know Unity can do more than this from seeing it at work in many other games. Get your controls/character handling sorted out, fix the frame rate issues and it will be a lot better.
Ok, thanks for your honesty. The frame rate seems to be fine on my ipod, but since releasing I have noticed that on some others its slower. I'm working on making this faster, but without the devices its hard to pinpoint the issue. thanks GreenSquid
I'd have to agree with Planetshooter. Concept isn't bad, but it's not easy to control the runner - the "greased bowling ball" is a good description as he tends to roll off quickly with minor tilting of the iPhone/iPad (2X). I'd suggest that the controls need tweaking - including the jumping. I sometimes feel like I've tapped twice near the edge, but don't make it across a chasm. Is the yellow light supposed to be a flashlight - if so, perhaps it should illuminate more? Or is it a pointer showing direction? The gems aren't terribly obvious for some reason - I see I've collected a bunch but didn't realize it. Finally, could you add a way to play the game in the opposite orientation (home button on right side). Addressing these will certainly help with the gameplay (maybe get some beta testers with different devices) - and adding high scores via Game Center (or Open Feint) would be great.
