Remember the iPad craze? They started making 2 million every day. There are actually probably a lot more than 68 million.
Really? I really can't comprehend how so many people can afford it though! Other than Europe, Apple doesn't have a great international market outside of America. America and Europe are supposedly just recovering from massive recessions, and neither economy is exactly splendid right now. Match that with the EXTREMELY expensive iDevices, and you wouldn't expect Apple to do so hot. With people being forced to foreclose their homes and struggling to make ends meet, from where do they pull the money to buy an Apple product? It's beyond me
There were 16.24 million iPhones sold in just the three months leading to Christmas, along with something like 7.33 million iPads and I forget how many iPod Touches... somewhere in between those two numbers.
It has passed 160 million according to the recent Apple financial report. http://www.macrumors.com/2011/01/19/highlights-of-apples-1q-2011-conference-call/
I'm sad I woke up at 5 and itvsaud it was done. I didn't even have a chance because i fell asleep. ((((
Same here, my iPad was laying next to me on my bed, still on the page, so I knew it'd be over when I refreshed it. The chances of winning this are less than winning the lottery though, it's guaranteed that only one person out of who knows how many hundreds of millions will win. Just wait till it gets to 1,000,000,000,000, I'll win that one!
I got sick the night before it happened and fell asleep while laying in my bed. Geuss it just wasn't meant to be
Me too. I stayed up til 1 am and saw that there was 2 million to go and that I din't have a chance because it would end around 4-5am for me. I just woke up and am also very sad.
I know its unfair to the people who would have to wait at such a late time but what can you do. I think apple should just give all itunes customers like a 10 dollar giftcard for helping the appstore excel.
