    Can't some boff out there write some software so it automatically downloads an app/sends a Entry form as soon as the countdown reaches 9,999,999,999?

    Wow, $10,000 to spend on apps. That's would probably be enough to last me for the rest of my life.

  5. It would indeed! You could buy every single good app out there lol.

    Would this be translated into GBP if a UK downloader won?

    I always had go wonder; what if the XYZ app downloaded was pr0n, copyright infringement or a scam? What would Apple do? I would fudge the numbers and give it to the next person in line:p

    At the rate apps are bought it'd be pointless. There are so many people making transactions all the time it'd be no more likely to go through first than someone else's.

    If I won, I'd sell it. Even if it was for 9,000. No way I would ever need that cash....
    Wait? Do iTunes gift cards work on the Mac App Store?

    Um, what about the developers with 10,000+ iTunes accounts that all buy certain apps at the exact same time to shoot up the charts? (Jirbo) They could easily win the contest.
    Yes, they do.

    I'm pretty sure 10,000+ is an overestimation.

    How does downloading an app method work? Is it when I click 'buy now', when I enter my password, or when the download is complete?

    I'm guessing it's when the transaction is confirmed, in between you pressing enter upon completing your password and the download starting. Since that's the point where you legally own it... or a copy of it, being digital.

    They should of made it an apple gift card not an itunes gift card... It would take me 3+ years to spend 10k in itunes... The apple store? Now that would be a different story... :cool:

    Over there --->
    Could? As in if someone wins they still don't have a 100% chance?

    If you say "will win", it doesn't sound right.
