EfratBarTal Well-Known Member Mar 5, 2011 2,351 17 38 Female CEO Tel-Aviv #6 EfratBarTal, Oct 10, 2012 My review: Hello,Cappuccino is the newest time management game from KTH. As the name implies (perhaps), your job is to manage a cafe shop. Now, over the past two years or so I've gone through quite a few of these time management games, and been the manager of all kinds of establishments, farms, towers, hospitals and what not. I've even been a glamourous top model once, and I'm a guy. But I've gone into "Hello, Cappuccino" with high hopes, mainly because I liked other games from that company (the RPGs, like "Wild Frontier"). So.. Launching the game, I get to pick a location, "real" one, or a virtual one. I choose to establish mine on a real location (like, what am I, some virtual fantasy dude living in the online world?!). Picked Israel and it was named the first (was I the first player from my country?). So, on I launched the game, and went into the tutorial which, to my pleasant surprise, was only a couple of small slides that taught me how pull the Espresso recipe from my books. Great! I mean, we've all been here, we know how this type of game works.. why bother with long and useless details. So short and to the point tutorial, definitely a step in the right direction. Put this on the table and started serving to my costumers and gone through the other tutorial levels which were the basic serving, shopping for seating and table, hire more staff, etc. Nice influx of people for a place that just opened its gates for the first time seconds ago, so my waitress Katie had her hands full, literally. A few more cycles of make and serve and running through the first tutorial missions, and I was ready to look at what the game has to offer. The game menu has the decorations, hiring (including pets) expanding and everything you need to make more coffee guzzlers happy. There are the usual three currencies in the game, the regular, the special (expand, rush job) and the real life premium currency. Also the experience factor which gives a true sense of movement forward and actually implemented quite well. The usual elements of social networks and sharing which we all know by now (you can hire your friends to come in the cafe, etc), I assume. The music in the background is nice and fits right in but does gets repetitive over time. Graphics are cute and have the unique KTH style to them, which is a great thing. Overall I think we have a pretty good TiMan game on our hands here with KTH, It's mainstream yet doesn't feel dull and it keeps the players motivated with plenty of options and a calm atmosphere. dirttyplaya Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2010 150 0 0 Birmingham UK #7 dirttyplaya, Oct 10, 2012 I'm getting in to this cafe game it's like I really meeting new friend everytime I play it so cute the characters a lili repeatative but I'm meeting new character all the time so it's fun I like talking with them anyway got to get back to the cafe I'm on my lunch break. Story: Your dream is to own a cafe. Finally it comes true. It starts from a very small business. With your effort and the satisfaction from the customers, the shop expands greater and greater. Design: The game is a fresh new management game from KTH. Your goal is to run the cafe shop and serve all customers. Select a recipe and make different coffee or drinks. The tutorial is very detailed and easy to learn how to play the game. It's not just some slices to show the still gameplay, but some basic skills and missions to let you know really how to do. Buy new items to decorate your shop will make the shop look better and attract more customers. You can customize your characters by changing their hairstyle, suits, accessories and emotions. When you level up, you can also move your cafe to beach. Don't forget the other big part of the game - social. You can add friends, visit their cafes, or drop by the nearby cafes. At others' cafes, you can leave a tip or stamp a nice mark to show your affection. There's some ways to earn extra gold in the game. For instance, the daily quiz is an excellent choice. The goal of the game is to manage an up and coming Dessert Cafe by discovering grand new recipes, hiring the right people, decorating your cafe, expanding your cafe from a diminutive 7x8 to 13x14, holding themed events and so forth. KTH have taken the tried and tested genre to ambitious new heights by introducing very deep social features and a very impressive amount of progression content in the form of missions. The game allows you to visit other Cafes and interact with them, both from around the world and near to your own geographical location using geolocation. The game also does a fantastic job of slowly introducing the user to new features and mechanics as their cafe grows in stature and size, thereby keeping the game fresh without reducing it into a boring grind routine. The game features very sharp visuals with chibi anime themed art, and more importantly a very well done UI that puts all tools within easy access whether you're using an iPhone or an iPad. The presentation and audio are also top notch, representing the Cafe theme very well. Another well done aspect, one usually taken for granted, is the tutorials and extensive written help which aids the user in understanding all the deep features of the game. As with any free social game, there are in-app purchases available to make the game less of a grind if you feel the need to do so, but most of the time the game will keep you fully engaged and rarely will you feel like the game is treating you unfairly. All in all, a highly recommended time management game that everyone should enjoy. In this gameplay, you manage a new Cafe and try to make it grow and become more and more popular so you can eventually have the best and most profitable cafe in the world. As with a cafe in the real world, this is done by a combination of selling things that people want and having it available to them when they want it. When you start out the game youll only have the ability to make some very simple things such as coffee or espresso. As you continue through the game youll learn more and more recipes for different beverages, desserts and other foods. Planning out which types of things you want to learn to make at which point is an important part of the game as it will allow you to progress more quickly if you make the right choices. The time management of the game is fairly straight forward in concept but if you dont do it right you can have a hard time making your cafe successful. Each different item you make for your customers takes a different amount of time to prepare. In addition, you only have a limited number of serving areas to hold your completed foods and beverages. As your cafe becomes more and more successful you can purchase additional areas to expand your cafe which lets you make more items at a time and serve them as well. You will also have to decorate the cafe to make it look as nice as possible. The better it looks, and the more areas you have for customers the better your business will do. The app has a nice notification system so you can close it out and be notified when something is done cooking. You can choose to create items in your kitchen which take longer to complete and then shut down the app until they are done. This is a great option for most players because then they can have a lot of fun with the game without becoming addicted to it. This game was very fun and addictive, keeping me engaged throughout the game play. There is no definite end to the game, but you can continuously expand your cafe to be more successful, which is one of the best parts of this type of game because you can literally play it forever and keep having fun. Whether you want to sit down and play it for an hour or two, or just play it for a few minutes at a time you can keep your cafe growing forever!
