lol than I'm as keen as a freaking jellybean-eating-flying-poptart-infused cat pooping rainbows epic logo btw can't wait for release!!
awesome icon... congrats on the submission, can't wait to play... now where the hell are my 3D glasses from that 3D Disney Adventures issue of September 1993.... LOL (for anybody who grew up in the 90s)
Thanks everyone for the comments on the icon. 2 pieces of news relating to release. Firstly the release date has been pushed back a day to next Thursday (June 23rd), sorry for another change of date. Secondly, 1-bit Ninja was approved today so there is no question it will be in your hands next Thursday! Next Thursday. June 23rd. 1-bit Ninja.
Firstly, that's a superb icon! Secondly, I think that a Thursday release is a much better decision. Tiny Tower comes out then as well, but I don't think that'll be much of a game-changer in terms of your sales; that's a freemium title anyways.
It's not about being cheap, it's about what can I get the most out of for my money. If I can get this for 5 dollars, or Mighty Fin, Soosiz, To-Fu, Robo Surf, and Velocispider, or Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Pocket God, Feed Me Oil, and Land-A-Panda all for the same price, I'm going to choose 5 games to 1. I do look forward to this though. $1 I'll instabuy, $2 I'll think about it, $3 it's wishlisted.
It's called being cheap. To me, 1-bit Ninja is looking to be one of the best, if not the best, platforming game on iOS. And from what i can tell, Kode80 is a one man show. Which, if thats true, it means hes been working on a project "for free" over the last however many weeks, looking forward to thursday. Which then becomes Pay Day. That, plus the quality of the game, which you can tell from features like the red-blue 3D and possibly the best icon i have seen to date, boost the price of the game. And he only raised the price by 99 cents. Now, I have no problem paying $10 for a game. For example, I bought GTA:CTW and Carcassonne. Both are very high quality games. Do you think that either game would be available if they only charged $.99? You get what you pay for.
I feel what your saying and completely agree here, but this discussion has popped up way to many times and should best be left at the grave. The 99c mentality sinks to deep in the ios community now that our day to day support for devs raising prices will have close to zero effect. It is in the hands of apple and some people high up in the gaming world to change this mentality now, and its going to take a bit more flexibility on Apple's part. Lets get back on track with the game before all this gets dumped in the pricing argument thread and simply hope for those changes to come sooner rather than later/never. I really cannot wait for this one either. I hope there is audience enough that remembers this gaming era to pull this game up high on the charts.
So are we going to see updates? Or are you just going to go right into development of your next game?
Seriously? $2 makes you think about it? $2 is nothing! That's pocket change. Maybe if it were $60, like most console game prices nowadays, I'd understand the hesitation... but for 2 to 3 dollars? That's just being cheap. This game looks great and is easily worth the asking price. But anyway, yeah this game looks superb and I really wish it was out already. Like now.
I have to disagree a little. I have a 3ds and dint mind shelling out the dough. But I rarely spend over .99 for an iOS game for one reason.... At any given time of day there are at least 5 or so games I want to check out that are .99 If the min price on the app store was 4.99 I would still buy the same amount of games. But it isn't so, I never run out of .99 cent fun. So I dont think people are cheap, it's just relative. That being said if I know a game is worth it I'll shell out more but I'll try anything at .99. Ps I would check out 1 bit ninja at about any price
