This 99c mentality is the reason iphone gaming isnt going to improve. Frankly im surprised that so many devs will try to live up to the impossible expectations of the iphone gaming community while using the 99 cent model. You get what ya pay for, folks, and until ur willing to pay a little more, the games arent gonna get any better. Edit: and im not trying to take a shot at you, GaiaIllusion. im just stating the inevitable truth.
But, there are TONS of 99c games that are GREAT!! There are multiple threads here on TA just about the 99c games that people really love. I just got a copy of Rockchinko made just for 3GS for 99c, and I like it just as much as $20 Nintendo DS version of Peggle... A number of the Match 3 variety rival if not exceed Bejeweled and (2). Sure there are a number of games higher priced that are definely worth more, but a lot of the really great 99c games are worth more. I am not sure what caused the drop - sheer volume of new apps, and huge influx of iDevices, combined with horrible recession globally? Whatever.. There are also a number of games that are priced signficantly above 99c - typically $3- $6 and they are crap... I think value is always worth paying more for, but if the value is there, one shouldn't downgrade it just due to price.

I've seen your name come up more than once when it comes to buying $0.99 games, and you always have something negative to say about people who wait and buy games when they are on sale. I think if game developers only wanted us to pay full price for games, they would never put them on sale. If you have so much money, then maybe you should buy us some games. I have a job too, but unfortunately I also have bills to pay and mouths to feed, so unless games drop down to 99 cents I tend to skip some/most games. That's not to say I wait for a price drop on everything, but I know I couldn't afford buying everything as soon as it comes out. @ballistic If I wanted to pay more for bigger/better? games I'd buy a DS/PSP, or just buy a game for my 360. The day that's all the iPod/iPhone offers is the day I'm moving on to a different platform. I love the bite-sized entertainment the app store offers right now. Just my opinion of course.
UniWar just went on sale for $0.99. I have this game and its rather fun. I would buy it again if I didn't have it.
