I don't have a release date, but I am working very hard to release EC3D as soon as possible! Unless something major goes wrong, it should be finished sometime in February.

I just released the Empty City 3D trailer! I am moving into the polishing stage of developing; I have been working for 5 months now, so it feels weird to wrap up the game :) I am hoping to be finished in a few weeks, but we'll see how it goes.

I apologize for the poor quality, it is the best I can do with my current resources.

    yes, looks good :)

Could you add a ability to upgrade your car? And, I know I asked it before, but I forgot the answer, is there anyway to get it cell shaded?

    Thank you!

No, it is going off the side of the elevated freeway to a lower street.

Thanks! The car feels faster when the camera angle is behind the car :)

    Thank you!

For now, no. There are no car upgrades. I have OpenFeint achievements and online leaderboards for a sense of accomplishment. As far as cell shading goes, I don't know much about it and I don't think that it is necessary or helpful for Empty City 3D

It is just over the edge of the freeway. I tried to make an outline to the video by having the car coming toward the camera at the beginning and going away from it at the end ;)

Thank you! I have gotten some messages from YouTubers (who are not on TouchArcade) saying that the trailer looked like Burnout Paradise, so I am on the right track :)

Yes, actually! I am in the final stages right now and I have only a few tasks remaining. Mainly:

    1. I am working on optimizing the performance of Empty City 3D on older devices.

    2. I am adding a few more achievements to get to the 1,000 gamer score.

    3. You MIGHT be seeing flat spins in Empty City 3D ;)

I have gotten a bit off track from the 95% realistic and moved closer to the fun/crazy/realistic realm :)

I am sooo so so sorry I have not gotten the buttons to you yet, I have had trouble finding the time or methods to delete the white around the buttons.
Does anyone on here know how to do it? It would be of significant help to me.

I made the entire picture in illustrator then brought it into photoshop, flattened it and cropped it. Even if I crop up to the exact edges, there will still be the corners that are white. and im using CS4 if that helps.

EDIT: and yes I meant a transparent background I guess

Try using the magic wand tool then clicking on a corner and pressing the delete key.

I think I tried that before and for some reason it just left me with a white background, nevertheless I will try again.

Grrr, I can't do flat spins  It spins the camera around and it messes with the barrel rolls. Really only one motion axis can be used at the same time (if there are wanted for separate actions). The other thing that I could do is add more buttons to make the flat spin, but more buttons = uggg. Sorry!

I am still doing the other half of part 3 (crazy/realistic/fun), so despite the loss, Empty City 3D lives gloriously on!

No worries, I had another kind TouchArcader help me. I don't remember the username because I was sent their email address and not their username. Anyway, the corners are cut, so everyone is happy! Abruce, you are in the credits under special thanks :)

Aww I just read the tread just as I finished the buttons. Thanks so much to the kind TAer who helped out. your work was greatly appreciated.
Well my buttons ended up still having a thin white ring around them, so this is great news that someone did it. Thanks so much!
