think circle would be best for these buttons and maybe a icon for go and stop instead of text but i don't know probably best to try them all

Sounds superb, thank you! Should it be a picture centered over the current button or simply the picture? The advantage of having the picture over the button is that it stills animates when you press it, what do you think?

That is a true statement, but I hadn't figured out how to, in Unity, get an image in a button. A good friend of mine enlightened me, so I am ready for Abruce's images :)

Oh thats different then interface builder because in interface builder you can just choose custom button then put in a background image then put text in it if you want. I think abruce is going to make a whole new button image to replace the grey button so why not just put the play button in that background image... thats just the logic i would use from interface builder's way of using buttons...

It is a whole lot easier to make a custom button in interface builder than in Unity. Unfortunately, I can only put one image on a button, so if you are saying that I put the background button, that Abruce is making, on top of the go button, that he is making, that isn't possible. I can only put the image on top of the grey button or just have the image by itself.

The grey button doesn't use an image, it is just a default button. I can put an image over the default button or I can put an image instead of the button, that's all I can do for now.

oh well thats all you need to use a custom image instead of the button don't see that you would need anything other then that.

I thought that you were asking (a few posts ago) if I could put 2 different images on top of each other, I guess not. Anyway, I'll post some screenshots of Abruce's images in the game when he is done :)

well I almost finished them last night, just need some retouching and photshop editing. Expect them in definitely by the end of the weekend, probably sooner. Should I e-mail them to you, and then maybe post a picture of them on here?

and guys, sorry but I was not able to make circle buttons, it would take a lot longer to make. The buttons I did make are really cool though. Picture the boost 3D logo, but one green one red, and one arrow pointing up one pointing diown. It is also a bit more intricate that the Boost 3d logo.

My opinion on buttons is to have basically half the screen be gas and the other half brake (with a pause in the corner as it already is, except invisible). That is, unless you are going to implement more features that need buttons, like boosting, or touch screen steering... anyways, my two cents.

I was hoping there would be buttons for visibility, but just have each half be the touch area so you never miss it. then he could have like a small bar on the top of the screen for pausing.
