This is game is very experimental for me, it is my first 3D game, it is my first game that I have put over 4 months into, and it is the first one that I am not sure what to price it at. I am playing it safe (seeing as a lot of things are new) and pricing it at $.99. If development hadn't taken 4 months (and counting), I probably would have done the point A to point B thing. Unfortunately, I can't keep adding features, I have to draw the line somewhere.

Of course, that is one great thing about updates, I can always add it later :) The two things that will lead me to add the feature in the update are, one: if Empty City 3D sells well and two: if a few more people ask for point A to point B racing mode. And those are in order of importance, because most people don't ask for features even if they want them. I am sure that most everyone that is reading this would prefer to have the racing mode :)

Also, I need to release it sooner rather than later because development costs money ;)

I personally would enjoy the Point A to B racing, but I have to stop somewhere, because I need to earn some money so that I can continue to expand my skills :) Like I said, if Empty City 3D does well, I will make the Point A to B racing mode! Trust me, Empty City 3D is turning out really great!

Also, I finished a trailer, but I am going to wait to upload it until a few weeks before EC3D comes out ;)

What do you want to see? Mansion? Glass ridden, raised freeway?

Also, would it be anti-climactic for you to see the trailer now and get Empty City 3D in a month? Basically, should I wait until Empty City 3D is submitted to release the trailer?

usually devs post the trailer a few weeks before the release. and i think the freeway would be cool to see but wait untill the other people comment on what to see... i really don't mind just anything.. lol

Yeah, I think that I'll wait on the trailer.

Well, here is the mansion. It isn't done yet, this is simply a first go at it ;)

EDIT: The fountain looks a lot better when it is moving.

I wouldn't post the video just yet, but definitely put up a few screenshots so people can see how it has progressed since the last ones.

I like it. I have come to like the car a bit more, but for me the buttons look strange. If you want, I could design what I had in mind for you. They just look a bit dull. And dont worry no pay would be necessary.

Thank you! The screenshot is taken on the simulator on my computer, thus the buttons are in the middle of the screen. When you play on a iDevice, they are at the bottom corners of the screen :)

Like I said, it looks better when it is moving ;)

The buttons are sized and positioned better when playing on an iDevice, I took the screenshot on my MacBook. Actually, they are quite transparent in their current state... The main reason that I made them square is so that I can take advantage of the size of the screen.

In Jet Car Stunts, you finger can accidentally often slip off of the button, so I made a bigger button to prevent that. One way to take advantage of the space on a rectangular screen is to make rectangular buttons! Basically, if you are given a 60x80 pixel space, you can make a rectangular button with a larger area than a circular button :)

I would love to see what you have in mind! It's very likely (seeing that the current buttons aren't popular) that I will use your idea :)

is it possible to have circle shaped buttons but to have like an invisible square that is bigger than it behind it so that there is more area to touch but it still looks good?

yep actually round buttons always are like that or thats how i code it.. just make them square shaped but transparent around the circle so you can make it bigger then its shown by being transparent as long as the image is set to scale but don't know if you can do this in the program he's using to code this game.

I hope so! I am looking into how to put images on buttons in Unity. It is so simple in Xcode with IB, but Unity is different.

I have been more focused on the gameplay and the 3D models and less focused on the buttons and UI, so I know only a small amount when it comes to buttons in Unity.

just simply make a picture with a big transparent area around it and the area will be tappable as long as its still part of the picture(and it will be) because it's concidered the image even tho there is nothing visable there is still the transparency... that is called padding in html/css (used html/css for many years) just wanted to put a fact out there... lol

Ok I'll get to work on some buttons as soon as I finish some homework.
Would people rather they be circle or like app icon shaped?
