Across Age fits that bill for me - it definitely reminds me of Link to the Past era Zelda (my personal favourite Zelda game). :)
I am kind of glad that the big name publishers and such don't have a total stronghold on the gaming in the app store - some of the indie efforts...

I prefer Fallout 1/2 turn based combat, and for real time - System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and Gothic 2 all had near perfect systems for me.
