There are two modes, Grand Touring (finding fuel to keep racing), and Time Attack. Installed over wifi it's 149mb.
Well, yes there's a fuel meter, but you earn money and "trophies" quite easily and often just by playing. It's fairly generous.
Of all the games I've tried today, this is the only keeper. It's pretty fun.
