Thanks for posting the videos Sanuku, the game looks really impressive! This is clearly so much more than a "re-skin" of the Spidey game.
Batarangs only cost 10 credits, and each enemy defeated earned 3-5 credits, so I don't think it is going to be difficult to buy them in-game.
I doubt if Gameloft have any choice in the matter. It's probably down to movie licensing agreements in various countries and complicated stuff...
