Yeah it seems a little behind appshopper at time. To fix your wifi problem: just go in the configurations (the gear icon) and switch 3G/Edge on.
How does this work? I remember playing this on PS3 and you had to move with one stick and shoot with the other, the PSP has only one analog stick.
