Well OPlayer was already able to play xvids and whatnot, though this is free :P I'm currently using OPlayer on my my iPad and it's pretty good....
Nope, no conversion needed. And I'm not sure if there is a file size limit, but I successfully imported a 750mb video.
Well you don't actually import videos in iTunes, you use File Sharing in iTunes to select videos on your computer to put into the app itself.
You can delete them via iTunes. I'm not sure if you can delete them directly from your device though.
