Well as with any game, you get used to the controls and learn to cope with it.

The controls may not be perfect, but it has the content of a ds game. It's very full and IMO worth the $0.99

I've done this like 6 months ago. It takes some time but is completely worth it.
Happened to me too. Plug it to iTunes and delete it with the funky layout thing, then manually add it back.
