I'm running an iPhone 5c on iOS 8 and it works really well for me. I don't know about the iPads though.

Yeah, but they are separate, so you have to get one for your left hand and one for your right hand. It works that way with all equipment pieces...

I actually played ME1 when it first came out ( I wanted to play it on my new phone, but iOS 8 wouldn't let me until now), but I absolutely LOVED...
