I don't really see the appeal for many other Japanese games either.
I personally didn't find it as amazing as many other people seem to say it is (repetetive anyone?), but I guess it's good enough for a sequel.
By now I've had it crash twice (usually after at least half an hour of play), but I haven't really lost any progress yet, so it's not too bad.

It's compatible with iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 and iPad 2 and up. (as far as I know it doesn't run on the iPad 1, not 100% sure with that one though)...

Optimization is pretty much the key to everything.
It plays smooth, but I should mention that I had to update (and restore) my iPod to be able to play it, so this is running on a freshly installed...
