Look, all I know is that I've seen many icons for themes made using Gimp, and they came out looking horrible. You won't produce good looking icons...

Not sure myself, never used Gimp. I'm just going off of what a friend on MT told me, Gimp doesn't do something that is necessary to make icons.
Yea I use CS5. As far as I know, Pixelmator + .psds don't play well together, I tried it once but it didn't really work out. On a related note...
