      That happened to me in single player, i had to get to the next checkpoint with just the run button and then restart the game to get movement back....

      Yes, mc4 multiplayer is smooth compared to mc3, i remember quite a few slowdowns on mc3 multiplayer. Maybe your internet is to slow?
