Sounds reasonable. Flamers won't show 'miss' but will show 0's instead, so that's intended.
What weapons are you seeing the 'Miss' with? Are you using flamers by any chance?

Did your attack miss? I just tried it with both Whirlwind and Cleave and it behaves as expected
