Muffin Knight already has playfields wider and taller than the screen in landscape mode, it shouldn't be hard to code a scrolling portrait mode.
Is anyone else finding that they greatly prefer to play portrait mode games with their iPad in their iCade? I always cable mine up for charging...
There is a Dragon's Lair in the app store. You would do better to send an email to EA asking them to support the iCade than using MAME to pirate...
Are you telling it to use all available buttons when you start the game, or leaving it on the default of two?
