Did you clear the fog? You need to search a statue with blue ball to clear the fog first.
You gotta do your homework ;) I posted a quick solution before. Build small hut - it brings money most often, every 3 minutes. And parcels follow.

They still give you one crystal for each level up. But it doesn't compare to three crystals every five days. Bummer :(
