The Netflix library of games just keeps on growing and growing and growing. Today three new titles have landed on the service all at once, headlined by a brand new game in the Reigns series. We’ve known about Reigns: Three Kingdoms ever since it was unveiled during Netflix’s Geeked Week virtual fan event this past June, and like other games in the series, it takes the perfect-for-mobile swipe right or left decision making mechanic that was more or less wholesale swiped from Tinder and applies it to a monarchy simulator set during the downfall of the Han dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period in China. There was a really nice explainer video released last week which goes into more detail on all the gameplay, and that compliments this brand new Reigns: Three Kingdoms launch trailer below quite nicely.
As mentioned in the title this new Reigns game is just one of three new ones to hit Netflix Games today. We also have Hello Kitty Happiness Parade from Rogue and Dabadu Games which is essentially their Giant Dancing Plushies light rhythm game that launched on mobile last year but dolled up with tons of Hello Kitty characters. Next we have Cats & Soup Netflix Edition which, as the title says, is a Netflix edition of the mega-popular idle cat raising simulator from Neowiz and Hidea. I can’t quite tell if there’s anything specifically different about the Netflix version compared to the regular free to play version that’s been out for years now and has amassed more than 30 million players, but at the very least you’ll know you won’t have to worry about any IAP shenanigans in the new Netflix version. All three titles are available right now for free for anyone with a Netflix subscription so go check ’em out.
