CD Projekt Red brought finally brought GWENT: The Witcher Card Game (Free) to iOS after it debuted on PC following a console version. CD Projekt Red also revealed that the console versions of GWENT will no longer be supported allowing players to migrate to other platforms. I’m not surprised that the company wants to focus on just iOS and PC for now considering card games like this do best on those platforms. Today, a big update hit iOS and PC platforms bringing various new features, fixes, and more to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.
The focus of the 5.1 update to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is balance and reworking for a large part of the cards in the game including a focus on the Skellige and Syndicate factions. Beginning with this update, you will not get thew full mill value for re-worked cards. The update has tooltips changesd for Resilience and Mandrake, the ability to cancel the income trigger, missing sound effects being fixed, and more in terms of game fixes. The iOS version of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game now has the tooltip system as of this update. Ranked mode sees players lose less ranks at the start of a new season compared to prior seasons. There have been various card balance changes across neutral, monsters, Skellige, Northern Realms, Scoia’tael, Nilfgaard, and Syndicate factions. As with most updates to the game on iOS, expect a pretty big download.
